Default Treating Your tC As a Submarine?

As you know; Midwest hasn't had the best weather for two days in a row.

Tonight, my dumba$$ and other Scion owners went to a Milwaukee area Scion show.

BUT!!!

On my way home, I driven in three flood puddles. One, on the dealership's lot. Which was about three inches. Second, was about four-five inches. Third, hit my front bumper completely. I heard it sail across the water.

My fear....I have CAI but its TRD with Bypass. Also I'm lowered with TRD springs & struts. I'm worried about flooding my engine. I couldn't avoid it! Every street in Milwaukee's Southside had flooding.

-----------

Anyone ever had or has driven in half of foot or foot of water with a CAI? Or any thoughts?

Well if you flooded the filter earlier you would know by now.

But honestly you'll have to drive through 2 feet of standing water to flood the filter enough to hydrolock. You'll be fine bro

Yep! It was wet! They empty out the showroom, service area for us. Some of the club members were lucky enough to park their cars inside. We did the judging "on the go," we parked in a line and every six cars at one time were getting judged inside the service area. Once done judging...we had to drive out and park outside.

I left after my judging because of the storm got even worst. Couldn't tell who won what. Weather is pretty much unpredictable these days.

Andrew's show is next Saturday; hoping the weather is GREAT! :D So I can prep my car before judging!

Oh! I guess the tC is fine. I went to get gas at 11 and drove 20 minutes to get it. More I drove it; it seem like the car dried out.

Got any pics? Just curious to see what teh cars looked like and how it all went. This weather has been pretty wicked. I kind of enjoy the rain and storms when I don't have to be outside for something. The only thing I don't like is the flooding. My girlfriends neighborhood was flooded for a little while, but it cleared up once the rain lightened up and we were able to drive again. Anyway, Let me see some cars!!!!

with the by pass installed u should be ok. Once the water hits the lower filter the air will travel through the path of least resistance and come through the by pass. so it would just turn into a short ram intake basically and negate the cai. U will be fine.
