Default Trying to unplug wire harness for o2 sensor

Yes, wireharness that plugs in/connects to plastic bracket on top right side of engine. Not the actual sensor itself. There's a single plastic piece it looks like that needs pushed in on the right side then the front male piece comes out of the female piece that will still be attached the the plastic bracket attached to right side of engine. Am I doing something wrong or is it just that stubborn? My finger hurts from pushing on the plastic piece while trying to pull the plug out =(

Help! I just wanna paint my stock header cover =)

Thanks in advance

It can be a real PITA but you just push down on the tab (on the far side if i remember right) and kinda just wiggle it around (but don't force it)

BTW - to get your heatshield off you have to take of your o2 sensor? I don't recall having to do that for mine...?

I have an '06. All other years the o2 sensor doesn't go through a hole in the heat shield. just on the '06. But since I don't have the tools, or $200 to replace it if I screw up, I'm just un-plugging it and feeding the wire through the hole, leaving the sensor in place

Thanks =)
