Last year, I was shopping around for cars and wanted the tC sooo bad, but decided to save a little more for a Mustang GT. Well, I was lucky to wait and at the Toyota dealership, there was a used '06 tC for $15k with only 6,000 miles on it, 6 months old. Saw it the second day it was there and you know it's mine now! Fully loaded w/new car smell! So all I can say is keep looking and you will find what you want. Good luck!

 

Before you go and do something harsh take a good look at the difference between the Spec package and the standard one. You lose alot of options(including the retractable sunroof), from what most people say, its not worth it to go with the spec package unless you are gutting it for racing.

I totally know the dilemma you are in trying to find a used one. I did the same thing searching around and it seems that people who buy tC's really wanna hold on to em!

About the whole interest thing you should probably look to finance elsewhere, like a credit union. For me I decided to have my mom cosign my car so that i could save about 100 bux a month on insurance and get a WAY better interest rate. The biggest problem for me was that i had no credit score yet and my mom has great credit. So the dealer offered us 6.95% and we went to a credit union and got 5.25%. My payments are only 212/mo but i had quite a hefty downpayment.
