Default Waiting... Is the hardest part.

Just ordered my tC on Monday, and it'll be here in about 4-5 weeks according to my dealer. It feels like an eternity...

I was wondering what options everyone ordered with the car, and which ones you got installed after you got the car. Are little things like pedals or shift ***** good to get right away, or should I wait and see how I like the stock versions?

Thanks.

I waited for little less then a month and it was hard. But I have the car now and it was well worth the wait.

As for the options, I would wait till you get the car. That way you can enjoy the upgrade.

I know how you feel.... but 4-5 weeks shouldn't be too bad. I was just quoted 10-14 weeks for a stock flint or black tC in LA. I guess you have to expect this kinda wait when a car's in high demand.
As for the extra stuff... i would just wait.. you can always add that stuff on later. In the mean time, go check out the stock equiptment on a demo car or something.

I'm still waiting for my tc too. Two weeks down, hopefully two to go. It's killing me. I sure wish Scion had order tracking! lol

The only option I ordered with the car was the floor mats. Yesterday I ordered door sills, mudflaps, and the cargo net from McGeorge parts. I was going to wait till the car got here but I couldn't any longer. At least I'll have a few parts to admire for the next few weeks. :D

A shift ****, exhaust, and lowering springs are under consideration. The metal shift ***** are cool but I don't want to burn my hand in the summer. I'm going to find out what it'll cost me to get the springs installed or if someone I know can do it. Figured I better wait until the car gets here for that stuff.

I know that waiting is a pain in the butt, especially if its for a car that is so popular. But just feel better knowing that you didn't order a Prius. I have a few people waiting for those and the wait time for those right now is 6-8 months. When you compare that wait time to the tC wait time which is usually a month, then it doesn't seem so bad. But all in all it's worth the wait. And it's almost better because when you finally get yours you can drive it around proudly knowing that not everyone has one yet.

according to the dealer, my silver 5spd tC hits the port tomorrow!! i ordered mine last saturday evening - the dealer found one in the system close to my liking (unfortunately, it comes with floor mats - $$$) i am having the auto-dimming mirror added (hate garage door openers) and the bumper protector. they said arrival in denver will probably occur around mid august. not too bad, i suppose. tic..toc.....tic............toc....................tic

My Black TC is at the port in LA right now. I talked to the dealer today and he said it is going under inspection. I should have my car in 7-10 days. I ordered the car on June 28th and now the wait is worse because I know its almost here!

Well my girlfriend has not had to bad of a wait, We went to the dealership on July 8th, We got a call yesterday telling us that it would be in between July 30th and August 3rd.
The worse part about after it get's in is the wait for us to go and get it, because we have to wait til a day we are both off from work cause she will not make the drive to the dealership by herself. We had to order it at a dealership 386 miles away from where we live, so that my girlfriend's grandfather could co-sign for her, since she had no credit at all.
Glad he had great credit she got a 4.5% rate.

i'm waiting too!!

at least i'm getting the side air bags option so it feels like a "special order".

what helps is, going to the different dealerships around LA and The OC to check out tC's to remind me that i got one coming.

i already got a head unit for this car and all i can do is look at it!!!

I've been waiting over a month for my TC. I could handle the wait but on several occasions my dealer told me my car was on its way but never was. I think my car will have logged the longest time at port. Supposedly it arrived around the 1st of July and should be in on the 31st, if the dealer finally gets there info right.

I go in for my test drive on Saturday... I really doubt that I'm going to sit down behind the wheel and hate it, so I'm planning on placing my order for a Flint Mica with side impact airbags next Saturday. From there, my dealer says it's ~4-6 week wait.

It's gonna be hard waiting. Right now the only car we've got is my wife's Corolla and I drive that because I have a 1 hr commute. It's doing ok, but the tC is going to be so much better to drive.

Default Waiting sucks

I ordered a SW TC July 10th and it's gonna be another 5-7 weeks. Waiting absolutely sucks. I don't think i've ever felt so much anticipation for something before. Everyday i wake up from a dream regarding the TC. Whether it be just driving around or racing ppl, i just can't get it out of my mind. I think i'm experiencing anticipation stress. I'm angry all the time!

I've only waited about a week...and our salesman said it's looking like Monday will be our day.

I did get extremely lucky though in that my guy had the SS atx in port with only one option (floor mats)

I can't imagine having to wait for a month...

Actually my dad told me in the end of may "We'll get your car on Jun 5th"...so I guess I have been waiting...sorta.
