What do you expect the wait to be if I get the car in January? I would expect all the orders to be caught up, and it should be very easy to get the color and options I want.

Do you guys concure?

Hmmm...well, if you have faith that all 50k of the cars aren't already sold by then...then maybe, but the pickings might be a little slimmer than if you order it now, and wait for it.

If they completely sell out of the cars, when will they be releasing the 2006's?

I don't know about the laws/regulations in your state or insurance company, but usually if you have the sales agreement dated within 7 days of purchasing the insurance policy, they can accept that as paperwork for the car and issue a binder to the dealership to prove that you have liability insurance. They should also be able to fax you a temporary insurance card.

I put my order in on the 31st. The wait is going to feel pretty long - right now I'm driving my wife's Corolla, and while it's quite capable, it's no tC. If I'm lucky, it'll get allocated to the dealer today, and I just have to wait for it to ship, though I haven't got any illusions about it being here in 2 weeks. But here's hoping.

*crosses fingers*

Hmm, interesting. I actually had really a really good tC buyign experience with Longo. I wanted a bone stock Azure Pearl, but the waiting was killing me and every time I called in for info on the allocation, there was no base model Azure's coming in, so I opted to add other colors to my "want list" They then told me that there was a white one that was moving quickly down the list. Reason why? It had 2 options that came with it from the factory/port(not sure which) but these options were definatly NOT added by Longo. (The sticker listed these items, and there was not an additional little strip of paper with "dealer added" accessories) Well, they told me up front that the car was coming with the TRD exhaust and floor mats. As opposed to waiting another month or possibly 2, I figured the difference of $650, would have been spend anyways while I waited.

I've had experience with other dealerships that have bone stock tC's, but refused to sell them; because they were "upgrading" them with leather, wheels, etc etc. The majority of the tCs' I've seen at Longo were fairly stock.

well if it was coming with TRD EXHAUST and FLOOR MATS, it was put on at the port and LONGO knows it. they can take of all the stuff at the port. Like CARSON did for me. is your a 5 speed white? if it is, it was probably mines that i declined because i was top on the list for a white 5 speed.

Longo Toyota Dealer told me that the only thing that came with the stock car was floor mats. The dealer said that anything else i wanted to included would require me to order at the dealership. Maybe Longo is pulling our strings? I'll know soon, they called me and said that my car is coming in this shipment period. YES!

well good you got your car but yeah, they lie, they have the mats clearly to make some profit because the TC is so cheap. they can take ANYTHING off when its at the port.
