Good idea mcgeorgeparts. I think I will take that approach. And no, Rivulent, the kit was NOT installed at the dealer when we got the car.

I was just got my lip kit installed.
I got a question... does the rear/drivers bumper piece have the "rubber filler piece"? I am talking about the piece of rubber that fills the gap where the lip meets the bumper.

Oddly enough, mine is missing that piece but all the other pieces of the kit have the "rubber filler piece"

I was inspecting mine, and it seems that the kit is mounted by making holes in the bumper and held by clips on the inside of the bumper.

I think the consensus is this is what goes on with the kit:

Front: Attached via clips. No holes drilled.
Side: Sideskirts are REPLACED entirely.
Back: Attached via clips and hooks. Holes drilled into rear bumper.

Does that sound right?

sounds right to me

if your going to sell your kit, do it to some guy that wants what you have, and do it under partial trade

That's not even the half of it. I went through six different dealerships before buying my Scion.

There are dealers out there who claim that the car comes stock with leather in some trim packages , that they can ONLY be found with an add-on--and no-name--$3,000.00 Rim and Tire package... On and on.

Oh, and sorry about spamming the last four posts... Guess I shouldn't push the 'back' button on my browser when I blog...

Does anyone in the LA area want to trade for and buy the ground effects kit?

Same goes for the 18" Enkei wheels. Both are brand new.

Thanks for the support

I can't post in the classifieds area. It says "Sorry, but only users granted special access can post topics in this forum." I DID just register 2 days ago, could that be the cause?

I am 93% sure that my rear bumper has the rubber filler piece - It doesn't look to be installed correctly in your pic and I would contact the dealer asap.[/quote]
