Default Water leak in hatch?

For tC owners, please check out the hatch water catchment on either side, where the metal
meets the plastic part of the rear brake lights, it appears that the water actually goes inside the car dead space instead of outside. Please give your opinions.

Close all windows and the hatch. Use a hose and spray the sides, top, hatch, whatever. See what happens. Then check for water in the vehicle.

We have had some pretty heavy rains here the week after I got my Scion TC. Rains as heavy as I have ever seen and no leeks.

From how I see it the rain would not go inside the trunk but in between the dead space where the insulation and wiring goes. I am more worried about molds.

So you don't have one and are just worried? I don't get it. Are you reporting this as a problem or just wondering?

1 am trying to verify whether all the tC were produced that way or my tc is a unique build flaw.
