Default weird smell?

well, i dont drive my car fast all the time. usually im pretty controlled with my acceleration. however, when i have driven my tC fast over a few minutes span (maybe 4-5 times) where i actually shifted very quickly and had some W.O.T., my car smells funny when i turn it off and step out. obviously im not a car guru, so this could just be my engine being new (2500 miles). as for a description of the smell, its hard to explain. theres definitely a burnt smell to it, but its not completely overpowering. its just there. even my friends noticed it when they stood next to my hood. car drives perfectly normal and only smells like that when driven pretty hard. newness or should i be looking somewhere else? anyone else experience this when their car was still new?

Describe the smell more, not just burnt... Is it sweet or sour, do you know what oil smells like? Could it be your tires. More info please.

The break-in Stink. Don't worry it goes away. My tC made an awful smell for a few miles also. But it's gone now. I can't really explain the process and why it smells.

Just make an in-cabin air filter and the smell will almost completely go away. It's as easy as picking up a cooler/AC pad at Lowe's or Home Depot, pulling out the cabin filter tray (to make a stencil on the pad), and using wire snips to cut the pad. You can easly get 3-4 filters out of just one pad! A lot cheaper than the Toyota filter ($30 a pop.).

Sounds like its the 'newness' of your car that is smelling. It should wear off over time. It is hard to explain but when they assemble your tC, they use oils and lubes ( ) to put on the various hoses that connect to your engine, radiator, etc. That's why you will have a smell until they burn off.

i believe the rotten egg smell is from the tire. i get that too when i put a good friction load on the tire.. sorta like scratching a scratch n sniff sticker, but like... poopoo factory flavor.

Same smell here, minus the rotten egg smell. And actually the rotten egg smell, 9 times out of ten, is the catalytic converter, probably getting super hot.

I noticed my burning smell after i put in header wrap, so i'm assuming it is the coating burning off.

.
Ive had the cabin air filter in there for about a year, changed it twice, w/o that the air is dirty as heck, but yea, this will not get rid of the smell, ive read about this situation before and you have to mix a 50/50 (well not 50/50 but more water) mixture of alcohol (isopropyl) and water, then spray that into your air intake (not the injen type or w/e) of your a/c, and this was suppose to get rid of the smell..
Ive tried this and it worked, but the smell came back, ill try febreeze or something. The "rotten egg" smell is because of mold build up from condensed water or something by running the a/c. To prevent the water from condensing i think your suppose to turn off your a/c for a bit before you stop your car, or turn the a/c to the heater to evap the water away.
