Well at least I have an excuse to buy a bodykit.......
Just some comments/replies to the posts....
I always park it in Neutral with the ebrake on.....just this time i didnt....i guess it only takes once huh?
I was planning on getting a body kit anyway....
And yes I find it funny about what happened because honestly it is the most off the wall thing that could happen today.....
Oh and for the legal stuff.....the police one didn't even know that you could put a remote start on a manual.....and they thought it was pretty funny too.....
So now....what body kit should I get??

Ouch, well the whole scenario could have gone down worse so a little messed up bumper isnt that bad...
FYI:
Astroflex (astrostart) makes several models of remote start/alarms systems that work really well with manual cars.
To prepare your car for remote starting the next time you use it astro needs these steps to be done:
- while parking and before turning off car, you have to hit the remote start button, put the car in neutral and set the e-brake (senses ebrake)
- take your keys and exit the vehicle (car will remain running)
- shut door. the car will sense that you closed the door (turns off engine) and the preparation is now complete for the next remote start. If by chance you forgot something and reopen the door, it will prevent next remote starting just to ensure you didnt shift into gear or release the ebrake.
Pretty slick actually, about the only thing they could do since there isnt truely a 'neutral detection switch" on cars.

Get either factory lip kit, or the one on the silver tc... can't remember the manufacturer but I'm sure youve seen it. Its got the big ol bubba gump lip up front without having that overdone 2F2F look.
If it was my choice though, factory kit with a tasteful low profile spoiler all the way.

kileil - I know what you are talkign about, for me personally itd be a PITA to do that everytime so I wouldn't do it and customer satisfaction on that isnt that high, so im not the only one that thinks that would suck. Its a good idea and theory but how many times do you get in and out of your car a day! thatd be too much work for me. I jsut try to remember not to leave it in gear.

Wish you had a video of that, now that would be comedy..as long as the end result was just the flower pot getting hit.
So...quick question for you...why would anyone in socal need a remote start? That just sounds like laziness....
I mean....for a car to get cold...you turn on the AC....a compressed gas causes the coldness. But to get warm...it actually takes a couple minutes to get everything warm and running properly.
Can it really be so bad to run out on a hot day?...not like you'd die of frostbite ;) Windchill of -70 can almost assure that
