Default Went in for oil change and.....

So i went in for an oil change today at toyota....and the guy comes out to tell me there is a leak in my waterpump...WTF!!!!

My tC is a 2005 but only has 34K miles on it. Should it be going out so soon? Ugh....At least he said it's covered under the powertrain warranty which expires this October So it's getting replaced on tuesday

Ugh...kinda disappointed it went out so early though.

Anything is possible. If it's made by humanoids, it will, sooner or later, break down or stop working!

Good thing ya got warranty...

you should be glad they told you, they could of been shady and not say anything which then would of led to bigger problems later on.

i think discoloration/ leaks around the outer seals can, but not always, show signs of wear on the pump. they usually take on a whiny noise and progress to a hardy grind/rumble. not exactly sure though...

Yea they said they noticed discoloration and a leak around the seal.... =o( I haven't heard any whine or noise, I had no idea it was going out...I am glad they noticed it before it got worse.
