i guess my cars were kinda ricey but not really lol i had a 98 vw jetta 2.0 it was a pretty nice car i loved it he only thing that killed it and made it ricey was that i had stickers for all the parts i had on it basically the neuspeed exhaust bosal headers tokico struts weapon r intake etc. loved that car though lol my 02 civic si was pretty damn rice went to a muffler shop and welded a muffler on it lol... alot of people will consider my tc to be ricey cause of the decals i have on it but i like it=)

The tC is NOT a Celica replacement. Infact they overlapped one another for a year.
The tC started selling Fall 2004 while the Celica sold thru the end of 2005. The tC\'s first year model is 2005 and the Celica\'s last model year is also a 2005.

As everyone know, tC sales were on fire the first 2 years. You literally had to wait months to get yours from Japan. Celicas were rotting on showroom floors. Celicas didn\'t sell because they were well overpriced.

Infact I still have the window sticker from my brother\'s Celica when he bought his:
$17,760
now for the options:
cruise control, pwr windows & door locks $820
ABS $300
remote keyless entry $230
am/fm/cd/cassette $320
15in alloys $385
------------------
Total $19,815

My tC RS2 is a thousand cheaper, more power, bigger alloys, kick **** roof, ipod connector mp3 hu, abs, _____in seats... so much more.

Even the base tC (not the spec) has far more equipment than the Celica and they don\'t charge you for it. Not to mention it\'s also a grand less than a base Celica with crank windows manual locks.

One thing I do give the Celica credit for is its handling. It\'ll outhandle a tC anyday of the week.

this is what got me interested in the scion tc because it was basically a 2 door model of this car, here was my first car, someone hit me after a year and their insurance gave me $3000, so i put on a $500 body kit and had it mounted and painted $1500 kept the rest of the money, then started modding the crap outta it but it did flow nicely except the rear bumper was fugly but i didnt get a pic of it before i ordered the whole kit, rare rear tailights, injen cold air intake (basically the same as the tc but no MAF), front clear corners, molded fog lights, blue neons everywhere, blue split loom (damn fast and the furious came out when i got this and i was 16 (2001) lol, i got a lot of compliments the front looked mean as hell (black widow), had a turbo kit from a 3sgte celica/mr2 because the manifolds were the same just had to custom fab a downpipe and tune it right but never installed it, would have been nice
