Is there a way to find out what production number your tC is? I think mine is one of the first to come to my city (so the seller said). He was one of the people that preordered one. Would the VIN tell me?

 

The vin number use to tell you the production number, chassis code and chassis number; but now it's encrypted. If you can decrypted Toyota's vin number you might be able to find out.

 

Dealers/Salespeople say the darndest things to sell cars these days.

Why does it matter what # you are? People who have the RS tCs are going to ask the same thing. As long as you have a tC, be happy!

 

The last 6 characters of your VIN# identifies the sequence of the vehicle for production as it rolled off the manufacturer's assembly line.

This won't really tell you if it was the first to come to your city though.....
