I don't agree with the "smoke stacks on a truck"... they serve a purpose - 1 for water submerging, you have to have the intake and the exhaust out of the water if you turn the engine off or idle too low. 2. If you are towing something, it keeps the soot away from the object being trailered and doesn't stain it black. I think that should be removed.

Rice used to be any japanese vehicle, including motorcycles (actually, mostly street bikes). Had nothing to do with mods. Hence the term "rice rocket".

Now it is typically used by little tuner kids (tuner is another word which is awfully close to "rice" these days as well) to mouth off when they cant win an argument.. just read the forums. You call somebody out with facts and knowledge so they call you a ricer and run away

And driving habits have nothing to do with it.

For the most part, it is just a subjective term, but really applies to anything you would expect to see in the fast and the furious

And the nutz... well, I know a guy that autocrosses with us that has them under the back of his vette... but his last name is also Bahl.

i think some ppl need to get a sense of humor. i think rice citations are funny because of the number of people i see in my area w/ bondo civics, dropped on stock wheels w/ hub caps. over leaning and driving. among other things.

You might be a ricer if...

Sorry. My neighbor has a primered 1980's truck with 19" chrome, expensive looking rims on it. The truck is obviously bare-bones stripped, and he takes it out at least once a day to 'race' around the neighborhood for half an hour.

I have to try really hard not to laugh every time I drive by his apartment.

Seeing stuff like that just makes me want to pull that person over and smack them silly.
