What should my next DIY write up be?
^Once you get the hang of it you get fairly addicted to it. It might be tedious work; but it's worth it....especially when you get a call from a random person and they say that they heard about you through word of mouth.
I started to do a step by step DIY on painting interior pieces last week. Halfway through I decided to stop altogether (after talking to a few friends and being convinced not to post it online).
The main reason for this is that I have so much going on that I really don't have time to set aside and post everything up like I wanted to. Also, whenever I do post a DIY up with exact step by step guides I still get floods of PM's asking how do I do this? or what do I do next? This never seems to fail; whether it's tinting TYC's, removing a bumper and installing tail lights or untinting tinted tail lights.
I have quite a few interiors and tail lights to tint and I don't want to fall behind as well. There is one SL member in particular that I have fallen extremely behind on. BlckdOutTC, sent me his pieces back in late August to get painted. I completely goofed up on his pieces and had to strip everything off of them to redo them. When I finally finished them I sent them off to the incorrect address and as a result used the insurance I had on the package to purchase new pieces. In an attempt to remedy the situation I rushed the second set of interior pieces and once again they came out looking like crap. I stripped these pieces again and repainted them a third time. This time they came out great, but also at the same time it's way past it's deadline....7 months (EMBARASSING).
So these are the reasons I am not going to post anymore DIY's up on SL. I would rather have people get mad at me for not showing them tips and pointers on painting their interiors rather than fall behind on another member's items and start to gain a bad reputation like another person on this site.
Pictures of his FINALLY finished interior which is shipping out tomorrow pending address confirmation.
