Whats Hot and what Not? IM thinkin about getting my wiondows tinted and i need some ideas. Pics would help!

 

depends on your car color! Its about yrself! I dont like super-dark tint, IMO ugly!

I personally wouldn't go any lower.

It's the perfect mix of visibility (night time is a pain, I'm glad it isnt any darker) and security (I love looking at people squinting to see inside my car)

 

the only tint that i really really like is the light blue. The same one as the one on MB/VW.

 

i agree with 20%. i think that is a good percent all the way for the same reasons already stated.

 

I went 30% jdm bronze with my BSP... brings out some of the metallic... the bronze rims help, too. Eiso is right, it's about the color. Bronze would definitely look a lil off on a FM tC. And limo black just gets you pulled over faster. Think color palette; style. Not what's the darkest...

 

Oh, also, 20% is a perfect, or damn near close match to the panorama roof.

 

Any percentage as long as t's black and non-reflective.

How does that stuff work with inspections if you live in a state that has a higher percentage requirement?

Do you guys ever get any trouble from that, or cops?

 

I thought you can only get tint that is legal for the state you are registered in. I mean you can always do it yourself or pay for it in any tint in cash, but you will EVENTUALLY get caught. My friend had limo tint on his car and got 5 tickets and the last one the cop made him rip it off.

 

I have a SSM, and i got 20% for the back three windows, 30% on the door windows.

I wanted to go a little lighter just because in michigan the 'tint' laws say that no tint is legal on the door sides.

i think 35% all around is the perfect balance between darkness and not attracting the attention of the police. i used to get messed with alot when i had 5%, but the cops dont even notice the 35%.

 

Here in florida, 15% is legal limit for back windows, and 28% for driver/passanger side. Im probably going to get 20% all around

 

i went with 30% all around. mines up front in FM...the one in the back has 30% bronze in BSP...kinda hard to see though

 

well here in virginia with our bullsh*t a$$ commonwealth laws tint for side windows just changed to something like 50% for side windows. they are pulling over trucks etc. with factory tint and giving tickets its crazy. so im gonna go with 35% mirror tint which was legal like a month ago the mirror tint will look a little darker be cause it reflects, and doesnt look dark enough for the cops to think too much i guess, then again it is VA. dont ever move here its a cop capital, lol

 

in missouri legal limit on front windows is 35%. i have 5% all the way around, and havn't gotten pulled over for it yet (knock on wood). before my tC i had a ford escscape with 5% on front and 2.5% all the way around the back, and never got stopped for it either.

 

I actually just got 20% all around on my SSM.
