Where did you get your facts from?

All windows except the front two are limo tint.
I have 10% on my front two windows.
It also depends on the color car you are getting/have.
You most def. do not want to put anything really dark on a white car..
it sticks out way too much and pigs will get at you really quick.
&As far as seeing at night, it's perfectly fine.
Just giving you my insight.
ok i know about the window % and stuff... but when someone says "limo tint" what exactly does that mean? I thought it just meant it's really really dark... but ^^^^ has limo tint and then 10% on the front two.
What's the difference?

I'm pretty sure limo tint means 5%.
I am planning to put 20% on my TC. As an aside, not all 20% are the same, one brand's film may be a really dark 20% while another brand's 20% might be much lighter. The place in NJ that I'm going to go to (they did a good job on my previous car) have a light 20%, it looks more like 30 (kinda weird).

I have 20% all the way around and I couldn't be more happier!
I'm not a fan of vehicles that have the back-side and front-side window tint not matching the same %. I once thought that the mirror tint would look good on a Silver TC but I had the guy place a test strip on the window and mirror tint has a slight a green hue... black looks way better.
I also agree with PunkInDrublic that the moonroof windows match the 20% near perfect.
Remember that the TC comes tinted a little bit from the factory. I personally recommend the LLumar brand. They are an industry leader and have a reputable lifetime warranty.

people say limo tint and some say presidential tint. i have 5% which i believe is the tint for both of those sayings. i have seen 2.5% tint in a catalog. the back windows of my escape came with 15% tint, then i put 5% on top of that, so im not sure exactly how dark it made it.

It's the perfect mix of visibility (night time is a pain, I'm glad it isnt any darker) and security (I love looking at people squinting to see inside my car)

AHA! I don't know if anyone has ever come across this link, but it's probably the best and most up-to-date. I've been looking all over for something like this for reference...

I live in jersey and my brothers girl just got a ticket for having 20% all around. So i dont know i was thinking 30%. I just want that when i drive at night people wont look at me. Oh i hate it when they do that. So nothing tooo dark just effective. What do you guys recommend?
Limo == 5%.
I have 17% all around, they didn't have 20%. I am fairly positive the sunroof is 20%, but it's an off shade. My windows are "charcoal" tint color, and the roof has a slight purple tint to it in the glass. That is my only gripe that I didn't get a matching "shade" of color with the roof glass. Other than that, I think 20% is probably the way to go. I used to have a corolla with 5% limo, and at night during rain it became a real pain to see anything.
Also, the black interior of the tC makes the tint look darker anyway.

tropic tint in union, www.tropictint.com.
They use llumar, but for some reason their 20% is light (but it works really well though)

Whats the average price you guys paid for tint? I want to get mine, but the guy at the dealership was nice enough to let me know not to get them from Scion, he said it was overpriced. What do yall think? And did yall tint the rear window as well?
I had 5% aka Privacy Glass/Limo Tint on my MINI's rears.
25% on the fronts.
20% is illegal in CA
I think CA law calls for 65% or higher for fronts.
I was pulled over for my tint Once... right before I traded it in for the tC. Even though I traded it in, it was not considered a "fix"
It was taken care of.
CHP will be looking for sporty cars with illegal tint throughout the summer, so be aware.
I am curious about that BRONZE tint... Please show me pics

i got 20% in back & 35% front.
its illegal to tint front windows at all in cali.
the tint shop told me the following based on their customers whom returned to remove the tints after getting pulled over.
if u tint the front 50%, u get 10% chance of getting pulled over
35% then 50% chance
20% then 70% chance
5% then 95% chance
in cali there are no restriction for tints in the back windows.
hope this helps.

i like the 20% all around as well.. i'd really like to do that but i don't want to get pulled over for tint. does anyone here in VA have 20% tint/if so do cops mess with you a lot? i see quite a few people around with really really dark tint but they're also taking a huge risk. 20% IMO looks great b/c it's noticeable and makes the car look really clean, but at the same time it's not too super-dark.. so i'm not sure if the cops would really care about it or not.
