Default What was your impression of the tC BEFORE u saw it n person?

I was skeptical at first when I saw it in a magazine. I started reading the specs and saw the pictures of thie "up coming car". When I saw the 2 moon roofs, my eyes popped out. I read that the MP3 Pioneer head unit was standard I was, "Whoa!". ABS, power windows, steering, A/C and 17in rims were standard, my jaw dropped.

Then as I was nearing the end of the article, I was like, "Yeah how much, $20-something thousand..."

I read their target price was $16,000... I was "Holy ****!".

Then I read what I missed earlier that it's to come with a standard 2.4L 160hp engine, I nearly fell off my seat. At that time my wife was in the market for a car and she said that that was going to be her next car.

Then when it came out, I dropped by a dealership to check it out, they had none in stock. The salesman said that they don't have a demo since they are already sold right even before they start on the assembly line. When I saw one on the streets, I'd twist my neck drooling over it.

I didn't see one up close in the dealership until 7 months later. I wanted to test drive but the dealer said, "Sorry, that's already sold".

Remember that my wife needed a car, the salesman said that there's a 3 - 5 month waiting period. She saw the Solara and she wound up with that.

2 years later when it came to trade my car in, I just bought the tC without test driving it, there was no need.

Yea...it was either a Honda EK then doing a total JDM'd version..or get a tC w/ all the standard options!...

I was Highly surprised to see hoe SEXY the tC was though!...

The tC had never crossed my mind. The first time I saw it was at the LA auto show( The green one w/ the five axis body kit) it looked SEXY

A couple of months ago, I started college and needed a car, so I went to the toyota dealer to get the new camery, I wanted it in white or black, They were out of white, and only had one black, I was like perfect. so im walking to the car, and noticed it was some kind of special edition, they made all the emblems gold for some reason(ugly) I got mad.
So I turn around and see a white tC, I was like, OK, i found my car!!! haha and that was it

B4 I was interested in the tC, I thought the tC's were Echo's or Tercel's underneath. Then I found out they were 2.4L, made in Japan, and were under 20K, i was sold.

I was planning on getting it for about half a year. Once the finances were there, BAM, it was mine.

I'll tell you when I thought scion, I thought ugly and something I would never drive (my mind had the xB imprinted in it). I was almost embarrassed to even think about one. Then I drove the automatic and I said there is no chance in hell I am going to buy this car. Then I drove a stick and I said, I want it in black.

Now my mortgage payments are suffering so I can enjoy my new car

Honestly, I was never interested in Scion, I thought it was like Daewoo or Kia. But, after going through two new Honda's I started to do some research I went to a Toyota dealership looking at the new Camerys but I saw a TC, which you don't see many around where i live the dealer told me the engine was made by Toyota and they are a really great car for the money. So I took it for a spin and was really impressed with the standard features and all the TRD parts that are available too. Needless to say I am hooked on the TC and glad I made the Switch!

My first thought of the tC was "Oh, so that's what they did with the Celica..." and that I wouldn't drive something made by the same people that made that "stupid box thing" (which btw is a still a stupid box thing).

But then I test drove it while looking to buy a new car and I liked it over any of the other choices.

The dealership I bought mine from had a white one for demo. They let me drive it for 2 days and when I returned it I bought the silver one that was on the lot.

I was given a company car, happened to be a 2005 tC-- after driving that around, I loved it and decided to order an 08 BSP -

but prior to actual driving one, I liked the fact that it had so many standard features and so many accessory options so I was kind of already drawn to it

I wasnt really plannning on my tc.. First I bought a VW GTI 2.0T hatchback. Then my friend told me dude, big mistake! why dont you try the scion tc.. I was like scion what? i said nah I would like this better, havent heard of it.. Then we were driving around and we saw scion tc with a gettoish rim, I said hmm credit to body its pretty decent (no ground effects) but the getto rims gave it a bad impression to me.. then after a crappy deal w/ VW, we went to toyota since my friend insisted on it, tooyta gave me deal (i just found out it was toyota.. i was relieved I thought scions are same as kia) I check it out, its pretty loaded for that price though the interior and handling wasnt as good as the VW, and I said its not a big of a diffrence, then I bought it, returned the VW and then liked it more everyday as I mod it

I loved it when I saw pictures...still loved it even though I had a Honda, and when my Civic was stolen, I figured, what better time than now to get one?! So I did, and I still love it.
