my ex-best friend bought a silver 05 tc when they first came out. After we had our falling out and I was looking for a new car hubby wanted a tc, in silver! I was against it as i didn't want the same car that biatch had...until i caved in at the dealership and actually looked at the tc to make hubby happy...the blue is way nicer than the silver anyway

I still have the C&D article when they did t heir 1st drive w/ the tC. I read it, and thought it was a good deal, especially w/ all the toys, and it looked pretty good. Then I saw 2.4L Camry motor and was turned off.

Back in 'o4, there weren't too many tCs around. (Now they are everywhere in Cali. ) I researched online about my next new car for a good 6 months. Test drove a couple of cars then tested the tC. (AP.) For the $$$ I was going to spend, the tC had a lot features. (Plus, I knew I was going to get a new house soon. I didn't want a car AND a morgage payment!) I'm glad I got my 'o5 SSM tC! (It's less exterior maintenance than a blue tC. ) Yes, it does have some rattle issues but I've had mine for over 3 years and it has been great! I'm still amazed today at the nice clean body lines!

i remember i didnt give it too much thought in the beginning. even AFTER test driving one (an auto), i was totally like..."ehhhh....its OK..."

but once it came time to REALLY look for a car (lease was up), i dont know what happened, tC went to the top of the list, along with Mazda3, 6 or STI.

wasnt shopping for a car. Heard about the "new scion tC" on the radio a couple of times and figured I would stop in a dealer and check one out for fun. Test drove one for about 45 minutes, came back and told the salesperson thanks... came back the next day after doing some homework on them and ordered an 05 IIP 5spd off the next shipment

I was looking for a daily driver. The car had good looks in pictures, loads of quality options (160 watt Pioneer back in 2004 was pretty good for stock stereo), 17 inch alloy wheels instead of steelies, and 160hp/160tq.

The 2AZ-FE engine from the Camry may be a turn off to some, but I wanted a daily driver that will get me to work and back everyday.

To sum it up: A good looking car with great standard options and a reliable yet powerful enough engine for the daily grind.

I ordered the car and put down the deposit two weeks before test driving it. After 85,000 miles, it's still performing as advertised.

i was driving my eclipse and i figured that the tc was lighter (200lbs more it turns out...) i figured it was not that much quicker than my automatic eclipse gs.....i was wrong. not to mention im impressed with the torque too. overall i thought it was the best car for the price. and im not alone on that.

First time I saw a tC in a Consumer Reports magazine, 06' new model edition, I was visually impressed by the sleek narrow side windows, and the A & C pillars surrounding it. The 2.4l engine did not impress me in terms of PWR. But, the amount of standard features and the sticker price is what drew me in. Then, I later realized all the aftermarket companies targeting this coupe. Glad that there are many different options to choose from whenever I start to get tired of the look of my tC. No regrets from owning it so far. Only regret is having my factory ped spoiler installed after realizing that there are some nice aftermarket ones for the tC.

At first i thought that it was comprable to the civic lx(not si) and the bace jetta. now i think that it is wa better than both of those. i think that the only competition for the tc is the mazda3 s (with the 2.3l engine)and possibly the civic si although it costs more and has lees low-end torque.

I had an email from Toyota about the new TC a year and a half prior it came out. I fell in love. By that time, I was driving a Celica GT '00. I told myself I am getting it when I get the money. The funny thing is I was deployed in Iraq and I was in Fallujah, in a random house which is destroyed, I saw a brochure of Scion 1st Gens. I told my Marines I am getting one when we get back home. Bam! 2005 April, I bought one and very satisfied. Way better in person.

I actually went to the dealership to check out a Corolla XRS. Walked thru the front door and saw my tC on the showroom floor. 18" EMX wheels, oem lip kit, and lip spoiler... I was like what Corolla. Watched them open the doors and drive my tC to the parking lot, and took it home that same day back in Aug '04. Love at 1st site lol.

At first I wanted to get an XB but my father wanted to get to me a TC so I'm happy that he got it for me. In my church minstry i have an friendly agruement with my sunday school teacher/ friend who drives an XB the first generation one in which car is the best. i think my TC is better then that sorry looking XB!
