i highly advise everyone to stay away from any ETD.
ive seen so many ppl btch and whine because their ETD's rattle etc etc.
and ive seen several cases where the ETD isnt even strong enough to absorb the rocking and it bends...

thats just my .02, im just trying to save you guys trouble down the line.

if i get more shaking and vibration with the new bushing thats sucks.. because my car is vibrating already like a virgin in a whorehouse... my car is idling at 500... and the shaking is already annoying.

The ETD or mounts tighten the motor alot, so whatever vibrations you have now (that you shouldn't btw) will be much worse, to say the least, lol

The ETD does rattle indeed, but very miminally if you install it right with the sound deadening material at the mounting point (the strut tower)

Also i'm not boosted or anything, but I do have very grippy tires and I have launched the car very hard and my mounts are holding up fine. I think there was only one specific brand, and only the first round of production of that brands mounts that were defective and bent.

I would personally save the time, and spend the extra $ for the ETD rather than new mounts. It is much more quiet no matter what to have the stiffer mounts though, and you don't have to worry about them failing for a very long time. It's up to the buyer, theres pros and cons for each.

i dont believe that the mounts come with insturctions. but im pretty sure you can download a PDF or find a DIY on one of the forums.

RCZ, the only thing is...your paying MORE and getting LESS.
the mounts are cheaper and solve the problem rather than covering it up.

but i do understand that some ppl dont like rattly, bouncy, loud, etc.. cars. so if thats any of you, your prob better off with the ETD.

ETD is worth more money to resell. So in the long run it might be cheaper than mounts & easier to install. :D

My etd doesn't really shake the car unless i'm somewhat bogging it. It's fun crawling in 1st then blipping the throttle and the car hopping like a kangaroo when you let back off.

When is it vibrating? (before the energy mounts) at idle, when driving, when slowing down, ?

with the Ingalls ETD i don't really notice much vibration anyways, but then again I never got the chance to feel the car N/A with it so im not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I personally hate not getting traction and it makes me want a subaru but it's still fun to have a FWD car. I recommend getting the ETD and the motor mounts only if you are having traction problems or you want more traction, and not just because.
