I see it as being rare too. I know I'm the only tC with MOMO rims and I think that's far more unique than what half the people have on their cars (variations of hoods, tail lights, etc etc)

 

wheels are massively manufactured... ANYONE can get ANY WHEEL thats manufactured (to a degree, but its not like only one person will own the wheels). Now if you go to a shop which takes a block of aluminum, and they CUSTOM cut you a set of wheels, thats very unique (and expensive).

like i said, some view unique in a different light.

things i would consider unique:

custom fiberglass / carbon fiber work
custom engine fabrication
custom suspension mods (such as hand made roll bars / cages)
etc

basically... anything thats NOT manufactured and is built, or a product that was manufactured, and altered to make it more custom, or unique

 

LOL and those are things you have on yr car so no wonder why.......

my rims have been discontinued in 03 and I think I got the last pair of whole set 18s in the states, took 4 months to locate them so yes they are unique.

 

they were examples. and i DONT have all of that on my car. my roll bar is manufactured, anyone can buy that and put it in a tC. so i dont see that as custom.

the only things i see custom in my car is my system since me and my friend built it from scratch, and no one will be able to duplicate it 100% because its fiberglass. and my header that i had ceramic coated with a polished finish, though anyone can do that as well, so thats not really unique

in my eyes (regardless of when they were discontinued), they are a manufactured item that may be purchased. if you buy an item like that, that is massively produced (part or present) and dont modify it, its not unique IMO. the only wheels that are unique to me are custom made wheels

but yes everyone has their own perceptions, bottom line whatever makes us happy.

 

claudia, what is the name of your wheel and i can guarantee you i will find pictures of that wheel on other cars. tC's or not.

My accent lights under my door handles. Havent seen another tc with anything like these. they fade on when the doors are unlocked/open and fade off when doors are shut or locked (with the dome light)

now claudia, if you painted your inserts flint mica like the owner above did with his wheels, i would feel they are more unique (and look better). but again thats my opinion.

 

^^ that might be unique for a tc, but its copying what the other person did. The truth is, go to any scion show, I guarantee you'll find 7 other cars that look exactly like yours! with the exception of maybe rimes and tires...

there are alfa's in the states. but regardless of where the car is. it shows that more then one car has it, because its a manufactured product. I can find more pictures if you wish. I didnt look hard and found that as soon as i looked.

 

nope I was just at Scion VIP with 200+ scions and I found at least 4 other things on my car that one of them had.

Zach I was going to color match them but I don't like the idea on my car for it to be too matchy matchy gets cheezy. In the sun light they turn bronze. On cloudy days they are similar to FM. On sunny days they are gunmetal. I love them as they are now

No other tC has my rims = unique to me. And since it's my car, I'm what matters.
