youre just cruisin not looking to race at all and someone pulls up next to you and then speeds off?? I cant stand it lol. Today some maxima was following me, he pulled up next to me and heard my bov going off. i look at him like whatever and his boy stares at me and all of a sudden he punches it. lot of traffic on a 2 lane road and the idiot cuts in front of me and then weaving through traffic lookin like an ___ thinking i was gonna follow him or whatever. I cant stand that haha. and plus if I do race, im not the type to do it with alot of traffic and that weaving ____. straight on is all i will do im not tryna kill someone else or myself. Im sure alot of you been through that too.

 

i have a lot of pride, so i have a lot of trouble backing down. i could be going up against a twin turbo skyline and i'd try to race him. yeah, too much pride. i've learned my lesson though, after getting a ticket for racing.....

same here....even if i lose i don't really care...i don't like to back down unless i know for a fact that im going win then theres no piont of racing

If they try to race me, it's OK cause the other driver is a MORON if they think I'm gonna try to go for it. C'mon, do they really think my Box is fast?...

 

no it doesn't ____ me off, I just let the a-hole go on by, I rather have a bad driver in front of me me then behind. I don't like to go more then 10 over the limit on Highways. and on city streets no more then 5 over the limit. I don't care so much about the tickets I don't want to take another persons life for me being a dump ___.

 

i'll race mostly anything "except" a family car or some one that thinks thier in fast and furious because im not going to jail when he crashes into something. i do find it funny when your not racing but they think you are and they get all excited.

 

Had this same thing happen to me the other day. They see our modified cars and say hey this guy wants to race. It was a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse and he thought he was the poop. Comes up flying behind me and cuts over next to me and starts reving his engine trying to race. I slow down and he gets in front of me and taps his breaks to egg me on. A car pulled out in front of him and i cut over and punched it. He started to follow me, punched it and i slammed on the breaks. He locked his tires up and stayed off me after that...I hate those kinda people no respect for anyone elses or their own lives....shame

 

i guess i'm a minority then. i'll just let them go on proving their idiocy while i stay on the cruise control.

 

ahah i did that once and i got hit and now i have a cf trunk....good thing for me...o yea and i got a little extra cash in my pocket..

 

i ignore them. my insurance is already through the roof and my news years res. is to not get pulled over. lol

 

i let them do what they want. gas it too expensive right now....

I rarely get these retards that all of you guys encounter trying to race you. Today I passed a gas station on 46 West (if your from northern jersey you'll know) and an MR-2 heard me I guess. He blazed to catch up. We were both just weaving thru traffic nothing crazy then he took off but wasn't going too fast. Heard his blow off valve and it was a right hand conversion. Looked sic. He took the next exit and I passed him and we both just nodded. No rivalry just respect. I wouldn't of had a chance anyways ahahaha

 

man sometimes I drive the "long" way home just hoping to someone who wants to race. I don't even like racing my tC, i just want them to look like a fool trying to get me to race them why really all I want is for them to see how a respectable driver acts behind the wheels of a nice 'modified' car..

I'm 21 and all about lookin good, ::sigh:: where did my youth go :-(

 

lol im always doin the long drive home tryin to find someone. i dont know its just when it comes to racing on the street im not down with the weaving through traffic all crazy cause i know for a fact either me or the other guy will lose control over something

 

I've learned my lesson about racing on public roads. One time, back about 1 1/2 years ago, I raced a Honda Accord Coupe. Very dangerous and a lot of traffic. I was going to cut into the break down lane to pass and almost hit a shredded tire in the road. I cut the wheel and dodged it. I was very close to losing control in heavy traffic. But, it did not faze me right away, I sped up to him and nodded my head in defeat.

Then I realized how close I was to death or even killing someone else on the road. Never again will I drive like that in public.

Now I do just what Macavley does, 10 over on the highway and 5 over in the city. Every since slowing down, I've enjoyed driving my car more, since I have less stress.

Now, if someone eggs me on to race, all I do is smile and do this:

 

same here i'll be at a stop light and they pulled right next to me, i let them take off and then i gun it to about 50-55 and once i pass them by about a full car i let go and just slow down and they'll keep bugging and i'll roll my windows and say you took off before me and i passed you. what are you odds of me tearing your apart off the line and then they usually roll up their windows and from there on it's just a cruise back to where i'm going. as for the ticket i got caught speeding once on the freeway but that was my mistake and after seeing how expensive it was..i said the heck with it because it's not cheap LOL.
