Most modern cars do not require any intricate warm-up routine. You can start driving the car as soon as it's on so long as you don't abuse it until it gets up to the normal operating temperature (i.e. easy acceleration). During cold weather, any warm up longer than 2 minutes is just wasting gas.

 

yea really.. "metal on metal" is not the case ever. you can oil a door hindge and the oil stays on it for years.

 

yeah my tC runs like crap until its warmed up, its all loud and clacky.. but its been like that since ive owned it and no problems.. just a loud ___ car..
