i have a stupid question, wouldnt it be easier to take off the caliphers and then spray it with paint? Rather then covering up other parts and get paint everywhere?

If you take the caliper off you need to have the brakes power-bled.

I always powdercoat my calipers...don't be afraid to bleed them....it's really not that hard on any car plus powdercoating is much stronger than paint, more durable and resistant to heat. It shouldn't cost you more than $20 a caliper.

Please note that you cannot bleed the brakes on your tC yourself unless you have special equipment. Let me re-iterate YOU MUST HAVE YOUR DEALER 'POWER-BLEED' your brakes. I believe this is a pneumatic procedure that forces the fluid through the system to eliminate air-pockets.

This post was from another thread:

All fixed Very Happy The problem was the brakes had to be "Power bled" and only the dealership had the equipment to do it. Luckily I was not far away from the dealer and luckily the issue was fixed. They just basically power flushed it to get the air pockets out. So the air in the lines was the problem. Phew... Thanx for all the pointers...sin
