Default Who just got their 05 TC recently and wished for the 06TC?

I was wondering if others feel the same as I do. I just got my 05 TC early June and I just saw a post that some guy got his early June as well. It's $200 more I hear but has some nice interior upgrades. I felt like I should of got the 06 instead of the 05.. Anyone feeling the same on this?

I just got mine 2 weeks ago. It is the RS 1.0. If I want to wait for RS 2.0 I had to wait alot longer. This discussion always comes up every week. I think 50% of the people didnt care.

Ya, the RS1, you couldn't really wait. I kind of wish I had waited, but it's not a big issue. The stereo with iPod connection would have been hot, but I have my iPod connected through AUX now anyways - so I guess the only other thing I would miss would be the steering wheel controls - but I can make due without them.

I got my car in Dec. And I spent over $200 on the two toned steering wheel because I thought the factory wheel looked plain. And now they come out with the 06 with 2 colors and audio controls. Not fair. They should of at least waited couple of years before upgrading the standard features list.

You still have to pay extra for that sport steering wheel...

I just got my tC about 3 weeks ago. I didn't really care. The only thing they are changing is audio controls. I plan on replacing the entire system so it really doesn't matter to me. The steering wheel controls would be useless with a new system.

Yeah but the steering wheel design and audio control makes it look a little classier and expensive. Its not a huge deal to me, but I certainly want those audio controls. I just think its kinda soon for scion to be adding more standard features to a new model. Might ____ off some people who just got their cars a month ago.

Well, audio controls are not a big deal, same with two-toned color wheel. I mean, if they came out at 06 without even the slightest difference, what the f@uck would make it on 06?

I mean, if they put more flashy lights in the interior, then people would say: "damn, that's so sweet ohh I should have wait it." <---

If they add two speakers to the 6 they already had, then people would say: "oh ****, I love my music I should have wait it". ,<-----

Do you prefer they add a light to the freakin glove compartment so you won't feel bad about your ride?

It could have been worse... after selling tc's this year, they could have gotten a lot of feedback and change the EXTERIOR design, AND added HID's to really stick it to honda, toyota, and ford.

But they didn't, they raised the price (on an already discounted vehicle that's drools value from every crevix) by an amound LOWER than the rate of inflation. DAAYMN!

Personally, our generation seems to have a hard time accepting responsiblity for our own decisions. If it wasn't in the back of your mind that the tc could be released in the summer just like it was last year, then you are one st@upid uninformed buyer who buys on impulse. Secondly, if you knew there a chance this would happen , don't whine, accept responsibility.

I will admit that it is irritating, but it shouldn't be so irritating that it bothers you too much (and don't say it doesn't, otherwise this post wouldn't be here). You, it use to be the same thing with computers. As opposed to now, back then, things would change VERY FAST, but not so much anymore. If you keep waiting to buy the best product, you'll never buy it. On the other hand, if you didn't really need a car immediately (i.e. - your car is breaking down) and you CHOSE not to wait, then you got what you deserved. BUT if you needed a car badely, and had no choice, then you made the smart move, so don't feel bad.

oh and by the way, those of us that play video games love to see innovations, not the same damn stale product every year. If scion did that, they would not grow, and then our brand would be FUGLY.

I'm happy with my 05. I have an IIP which was discontinued anyway for a blue I strongly dislike. I also have the matching interior to my paint color (vs the new gray).

People can get upset all they want. Here's my take... You got the pleasure to drive your new tC longer and before any others who decide to stick it out and wait for the new release. How rewarding is that? Every tC to date, regardless of packages added, is a sweet car. I'm happy I bought mine when I did. And I now look forward to more of what Toyota or Scion has to offer down the road for my next car purchase a few years from now.

If I recall Scion asked us on the boards a while back on what they should do to the new model to make them better for us. The steering wheel controls was one of the top suggestions and guess what, Scion listened. We should all thank and respect a company like this that goes out of their way to please us in every way possible. I think they've done an unbelievable thing and set the new standard in the automotive world.

Only mod I would wish for if they added it would be the rear sunroof sliding back as well haha.

my 2 cents...

honeslty how often will u change the radio on a steering wheel ?? i find myself driving my moms pontiac sometimes and still changing the tunes on the radio. Is it that hard to lean up and switch it?? And besides i took my headunit off so this would fit no purpose to me. And i dont have an ipod. and my color is still available.

I think everyone is missing the point here. The audio controls themselves arent some must have miracle of technology that will make your car sprout wings and fly. You are right, the controls are not that important overall. The point is if you just bought a brand new car, and next month, the same car you purchased now includes a new standard feature, it would probably irritate you just a little bit. And no one is making a big deal about it. Its just another car discussion to kill some time at work.

I waited for the 2006 tCs the day that Scion announced the release of the 2005 ones. Why, you ask? Well, I was broke as hell... so i was forced to wait 1 whole year for my baby...
