I'm just ____ed because the dealership I was going to get my tc from kept saying no word on the 06s up until last thursday. They were suppose to find me a manual tc. That was the same day I bought my 05 from another dealer. Every dealer in town told me it would be a few months. Now they all have them.

I am a little ticked, only because of the value of the car has dropped considerably

I would't pay $200 for audio controls and a new stock head unit with a volume **** but I would pay it just because maybe they fixed some design bugs from the previous models that Toyota would not admit to. Toyota is not gonna come out saying, "Oh yeah...we fixed the rattling issues and yada yaha yada issues known in the 05s". That would ____ off alot of 05 owners.

If they admitted to fixing problems, all toyota dealers would be flooded with 05 customers demanding those fixes. I guess this is the price we pay for being impatient and buying first year models. I still think I made the best possible choice at the time though. So no regrets here.

Maybe a small asteroid will hit my car, and my insurance company will replace it with an 06?

i am putting in a double din nav system and the new wheel wouldn't control it anyway. also, i do not like the silver "accents" on the new wheel; kinda fugly, imo. so no, i'm not unhappy i didn't wait.

also, my tc is considered a year old now and has less than 2000 miles on it. the '06 drivers who get theirs now won't be able to say that in june '06.

it's not like the body updated. so, six of one, half a dozen of another.

One thing I'd miss if I had a '06, is my nifty leather steering wheel, I hate the new tC's wheel, its FUGLY to the extreme...

No regrets here, love my '05..

I am SOOOOOO glad I got my tC when I did. I have absolutely no regrets. I was seriously considering getting a Toyota Celica, but to me the design of the tC overall seemed a bit more appealing (not to mention lots more for the money!). If the tC would've had that ugly steering wheel or weird deck, I wouldn't have even considered it. I loved everything about the Celica, so one wrong thing with the tC would've just killed it for me. I was set on a Celica. I personally don't like the new changes that were made for the '06 tC. Oh, and not to mention I got the most awesome color that is now "rare" (of course I'm biased!).

Long story short, I'm super glad I got my tC when I did. I absolutely love it.

If it works for you, let me know. I'll hope for an asteroid as well. If it takes too long. I'll just drive into a lake or something.
