Default windshield.. bear with me here :)

Has anyone noticed that the windshield is getting light scratches even though the wiper blades are clean? I'm not wiping the windshield with the wipers when it's dry (always spraying it down) yet i am getting hairline scratches in the windshield like the wipers are dragging something.. before someone says this is a dumb question.. i would like to know seriously if others are having this.. I am going to replace the wiper blades.. but if anyone has this let me know..

i've had the same problem. i think its a really small partical stuck in the blade thats causing the scratches.

I think you can get a glass polish to fill in most minor scratching on windshields.

I have noticed this as well. However my "scratches" aren't scratches but they are marks left from the rubber of the wiper blade. At first I thought they were scratches too but then I took my finger and rubbed them off.

thanks for the replies..

this is a hairline scratch that lights up when the sun is setting or headlights hit it just right.. i did use some Bon-Ami (no scratch cleanser) and buffed hard some of it came out but it's getting cold here in michigan again.. i'll have to wait til it gets warmer. It was just that i found that the original rubber blade was probably not stiff enough letting debris get caught under there..

I did have the mark you were mentioning.. just need more time to buff it off with Bon-Ami..

I did end up getting some Anco blades.. one was bad, had to exchange it for another.. They are called Aerovantage.. anco has a synthetic rubber called hydroclear but i cannot find it.. it's supposed to be able to not warp under the sun.. have to find that somewhere.. but at least i can see now..finally a clean windshield.. lol :D
