The wipers adjust!"
tC owners who live where it snows are probably the only ones that have noticed...
My g/f got her tC in December, and I always wondered why they made the wipers in the rest position so up high on the windshield. For example, when sitting riding shotgun, the wiper was in plain view
Well, last month, when we started getting warmer weather, I noticed that it was flush with the hood and not raised anymore. I looked in the manual and the wipers adjust a few inches to accommodate any snow or objects in the way. This is to put less stress on the wiper motor. I though that was awesome. Just more info on the tC....
Feel free to list some cool stuff you found and how you found it!
We also found the hatch handles to close them after a month with the car!
And we also found the top part of the middle console box about 2 weeks with the car...

I found out about all of that stuff when I looked through the owner's manual the first day I got the car. The cool stuff I learned about a couple days later were the different radio welcome screen displays which I found out about right here on the boards ;)
cool find! my passenger side wiper is still up high, my friend made a comment on it. i noticed that it started resting up high after the snow came...the snow is gone now...so i guess i should just push down on it?
how do the mirrors adjust?

It took me a few days to find the footrest...
If there is snow buildup at the base of the windshield, the wipers will hit it while trying to complete their motion. Since repeately bashing against this would bend the wiper arms or burn out the motors, they automatically shift at that point and don't go down as far. After the snow is clear, you have to move them back down manually. Its all in the manual, although I haven't seen it happen yet. Doesn't snow that much in Seattle.
As for the switch for the trunk light, it should be set to come on when you open the trunk. I could see that it would be fairly easy to miss if you didn't have it on. Lights everywhere in this car. Even more if you get the auto dimming mirror.

I've had my car for just over a week, and I have noticed most of these things from reading the manual and such, but I will say I haven't noticed handles in the hatch. You'd think after opening it 20 times already I'd have seen them.

I did read about the trunk light, but forgot all about it til this weekend when someone asked me if I had one haha
I found out by opening the trunk and wondering how come no light came on...then i started looking around and found it, switched it on, and made sure it was the kind that turned on and off when you opened the trunk and not the kind you had to turn on manually HA!
oh man! i didnt know that about the trunk light!!!
i only had the front lights automatically turn on when doors were opened. then i was wondering why it was kinda dark inside and i read some threads about replacing the interior lights with something brighter. but then i found the back seat lights. much better. and now i find out about the trunk light. goodness gracious!
