Here are things that I "discovered" that I didn't notice right off hand.

* Trunk light.
Yes I noticed there was no light when the trunk opened, but since I had an xB and it didn't have a trunk light, I assumed the tC didn't have a trunk light. I discovered it while pumping gas and I opened it to reattach the cargo cover. Then I had to make sure it shut off automatically.

* 12V Power Outlet in Center Console
I found this when I finally read the thin little book that comes attached to the dash. Why I never found it before? Why would you put a power outlet there of all places? If you plug something in there, you can't store CDs which is what I use mine for.

* The center console has 2 storage bays.
I accidentally pulled up on the lid without unlatching it and the top opened to reveal a nice spot to put spare packs of smokes.

* Changing the radio's settings from tC, xA, and xB
Found this out in a thread on here. Pretty cool since the xB setting sounds the best.

That's all I can think of.

I think it would be useful if there was a wire between the plug and what you were powering...

That console is perfect for storing CDs, though.

pffftt...you guys all think the tC is soooo great. Wait'll you hear what I learned about my xA: If you have access to a compressor, the air pressure in the tires is fully adjustable! I know...you're thinking "WOW!" But wait, there's more. I also learned that the position of both front seats is adjustable too!

I have a fulltime job too. But I still made time to flip through the manual. It was pretty late when I picked up the car, took a couple pictures while it was still daylight out and then sat down and read the manual at night ... I was just too excited about having my first car But there are probably still some things that I haven't yet discovered that aren't in the book. That's what the forums are for

I'm 33, paid for the car myself, am quite busy and still made time to sit down and read the manual. I am not spending $17k+ for a car and not taking the time to squeeze as much as I can out of that investment!

Let's try and keep the cheap shots to a minimum, shall we?

There was a thread on this before - you don't have to cut anything. There is a wire under the passenger's seat and it can be disconnected at whatever fitting it has. I'm pretty sure you don't need to cut anything, but I like the light.

IIRC, turning off this warning isn't something you "can" do - it's a hack. You have to get under the seat and disconnect the sensor, but I think you can do it non-destructively. That's all I remember. Most manufacturers aren't too keen on disabling safety equipment.
