I'm always the idiot waving. Most people just stare at me and wonder what I want.

I usually wave to modified Scions only. I just get the stare down from stock ones. I usually get a wave back though

Instead of waving to get other Scion owners' attention, I'll make it an effort to park my tC next to another Scion in a parking lot.

I'd wave back, but usually don't wave, even though I want to... I guess I'm a wuss, but most of the people I see aren't really the types who I think would wave back... like this one tC I drove behind for a little while today with a half broken tailight and huge dent on the rear fender... the guy was talking on his cell phone and braked really hard because I guess he didn't see the guy in front of him stopping for a turn

I managed to step on the brakes enough to stop quickly, and luckily it wasn't a full stop and he just kept going... ugh. At least my policy of keeping a relatively large following distance was good for something, especially because I had a second or two delay since I was paying attention to something else for that moment

And there was a woman in a Volvo right up on my **** too. I thought she would hit me for sure

I had a shot of adrenaline running through me for a good few minutes after that...

I would only nod to you back, but still show some tC support.

I see a ton of Scions a day and always wave. Maybe 1 out 5 times it is someone I know, but the other 4 times people just look at you like you are crazy. Unless it is someone I know, they hardly ever waive back.

I've talked to a few people at different places around town, but almost always they are stock and look at me like I am crazy.

A couple days ago a guy in a tC waved at me but I didn't have time to wave back. But I would wave back to acknowledge that we have the same car.

i don't wave. i try to nod and i never get one back. Scion has done a lot of adverts and publicity here (Kansas City), so I would think ppl would feel more like a community, but i know i feel ppl may take the wave/nod the wrong way.

I'd probably just pull out my sawed-off shotgun from underneath the passenger seat to let you know I mean business.

but in all seriousness...the only two groups of people that I know who are really into acknowledging each other due to their choice in transportation are motorcycle drivers and Corvette owners (both groups which I've had the pleasure of being a part of over the years, but definitely a different breed than your average Scion owner).

Feel free to honk at me at a stoplight... but no other time. I usually consider and save horns for emergencies, like idiots who decide to jump out of a red lighted turn light into my travel lane or try to swerve into my lane and hit me

luckily I haven't had to do that yet, I sometimes have fears of not getting on the horn when I need it... on other cars you can keeps your hands on the outside of the wheel and tap the inside... with our cars you gotta get your hand all the way to the center

If you came to Florida and did that, I'm sure several people near you would return the same gesture

Yeah, I heard about something similar happening in AZ the other day so it was fresh in my mind as I came across this post, hahaha.

For real? What the heck is his problem? I can't even say "It must be some young kid." because I've met some rather nice young tC owners. Perhaps he just never got any attention when he was younger.
