The reason why they don't wave back is because of the demographics of the car. The age ranges from 16 - 60. I don't think a 50 year old guy is going to be waving back. Most of the time they will be embrassed to look at you, so they will be pretending that they don't see you. Most of the older people can't relate to you younger generation people in here.

The tC is not a niched market so therefore you won't see that kind of response. Any car with over 40,000 units sold annually in the USA would not qualify as a niche car. It would be funny if every Accord or Camary owners waved at each other. There is just too many around.

I'm not so sure that the demographics are 16-60. Just look at the advertising for the car. Those commercials do NOT target anyone over 30-35.

Why do you say that? I'm 47, and bought mine (12/04) after seeing the commercials.

Of course, there are the very few exceptions like you. But, I'm talking about the majority. Just look at the age group here in these forums.

Yeah, I know - I already talked about age earlier in this same thread. Most people I work with and know, don't even know what a Scion is. Maybe someday, when I grow up, I'll be that way too......

I was getting out of work and saw a xB with 20's and had a 20'' dub logo on the hatch. I saw a girl driving so i tried to speed up. I got right next to her at the stop sign. I lowered my window we made eye contact and i was about to say hi and she just drove off. Maybe i wasnt her type. She was so hot.... If anyone knows who this is let me know cause i think i fell in some drive by love. By the way this was at the international mall in tampa.

If there is tC standing by the light, I go next to them and wave, but seems like they don't even notice if they are having the same car as mine.

i was recently in myrtle beach s.c. and i will tell you what, people must of thought I was driving something from the future. I was asked by at least 10 people what kind of car am i driving. I was down there 6 days on saw a total of 3 scions, two being xb's and the other a xa. It was rather interesting watching peoples faces and seeing the nod or wave just for no reason. so to answer the question yes i wave back when someone waves to me.

You should try living where I am... within the first five minutes of driving on campus, I must have seen at least 6-7 tC's, just driving... parked, well that's a whole other collection

I don't usually wave to anyone. Not like I'm too good for that, but a wave has always been kind of a symbol for hello to someone you know.
If I get a "what's up" look or a deuce, I have no problem giving it back.

I don't see very many TC's where I live. NONE of them LOOK modded. It's a shame. It's a nice looking car.

The real question is would you wave back if someone in a Spec version waved, or would you lock your doors? hahaha
