Default Wow...test drove a Manual tC today...

Wow...I was "FAR" beyond impressed with the speed and takeoff with the manual compared to an automatic...

it has been a long time since driving manual, but it's just like riding a bike...

wow...

I wish I had more hands, so I could give that car 4 thumbs up!

Default Me too!

Test drove the TC today too! Put down my deposit. Sadly stalled a couple of times. Just not used to the clutch compared the camry i drive once in a while (The tC is definitely gonna force me to practice now) Definitely cool car. Is it just me though or are the pedals VERY close to each other? Again, I"m comparing this to a Toyota Camry and I'm pretty good with a stick but not racing good.

I like the engine. I am used to driving a 127HP Vtec and this thing has a nice powerband. It is hard shifting at 3000-4000 because the revs come up so fast.

I wish I could rip it but still haven't reached the 1,000 mile break-in milestone :?

neither have i...i don't listen to that break in thing. it's been proven to be false. i thrashed my wrx from mile 1....it has 36,000 mile son it and is in perfect condition.

here's my thing: why would you want to break a car in by driving it in a way that you aren't normally going to drive it like? i break them in the way i drive them. i modulate the speed and everyhting, but i don't stick to the 5k or less thing

they promote the break in thing so that they can say that you havn't really realised the potential of your car till you get to 1000 and when you do get to 1,000 it wuld have depreciated even futher so yeah the break in period is mostly bs just drive it sensibly. its pretty much broken in by 80 miles cos every piston has pumped a couple thousand times and the oil is circulating nicely. just my 2 pence.
