Default WTF cel 2 random misfires...

so i got a Check engine light the other day. take it in to toyota, went to get the 15k service and this looked at. just get off of the phone w/ them and they said it was b/c of 2 random misfires. wtf is this? this does not sound good does it?

Sounds like it could be from detination. Possibly the oil on the K&N filter made your MAF dirty or the ground wires are screwing with a sensor or something of the sort somewhere.

Normally when a vechical misfires it's caused by fouled plug which in most cases caused by low octane gas.

If I were you I would get rid of that K&N filter though; as much good as people says it does it's bad in the long run. One the oil that is on the filter is sucked in the intake tube and coats the MAF. The filter also lets in more dirt which will clog up your MAF sensor which causes difficult starting, poor acceleration, pinging, rough idling, and etc. It's best to have toyota take a look at your MAF sensor and perhaps clean it up.
