Default xA over the tC?? ..xA vs tC..

Well I was going to get a flint mica 5 speed tC and then the dealer kept dicking me over to when it was going to come in, so I just decided why not take a look at the xA and xB. Well I drove both and I relized I didnt want the xB cause thats more a pimp car and im not really one to have a pimp car im more for speed. Now im not saying the xB can't be fast im just saying it wasn't for me.

Okay so then I moved on the to the xA. Now its not the fastest lil thing, but hey I was like I actually really like this car. And just my luck this kid rolls up to the dealer in a white xA dropped on 17ich wheels. These ones to be exact
Im like holy Shat! thats one nice looking ride! Then I started to browse the forums of pimped out xA's and I started to fall in love with the car. So I decided screw the tC im getting a PW xA.

So I then go to the dealership this past sat. Im like waiting for the car to come out of detail and off rolls a white tC from the truck. Im like damn thats nice. Then im like well ____ look how nice that tC looks and with the rims I want it will look even nicer!

Then these things came to my mind about the tC.
1). The gas milege compared to the xA is horrible!
2). Its so heavy for a lil 4 banger!
3). Everyone and there lil brother is getting one! - I want to have a car no one really has, but now everyone is going for the tC because of the price! and looks!

Then these things came to mind about the xA
1). The power compared to the tC is crap.
2). The ladies and friends prefer the looks of the tC better
3). The tC is much nicer inside

Now the xA is a lot cheaper and I only want to options with the xA which are
1). Fog Lights
2). Quick shifter
Now seeing that the xA is cheaper I looked at the greddy turbo kit for it seeing that buying that would put me at what a tC runs or maybe a lil faster. Im still under the final price of a tC. I would then get rims for the xA which are 18inch Axis which are $1000 for rims and tires. Now im about at the price of the tC. Jsyt so you all know my cars total price was $14,465, $2000 for kit and $1000 for rims putting me at $17465.

So ive been asking a lot of my friends for their input and most people are saying go with the tC cause it looks so much nicer. Now I know in the end its my desicion with what I want, but I would just like so of your guys input.

thnx
-Dan

Me personally, i'd say the tC... this car has alot of unspoken potential... plus your going to be drawn to the Xa for the fact of the multiple aftermarket things already available...

I'd say tC... I love it, and wouldn't change it if i could

The tC essentially has 50% more power, but doesn't weight 50% more than the xA. Therefore, it does have a better power/weight ratio along with better torque. Of course, with the aggressive gearing, a larger engine and heavier car, gas mileage will not compare with the lighter, more efficient xA. When making my decision, I decided to get the tC because, living in San Francisco, I wanted enough torque to get around the hill-riden town, and don't commute to work. However, if I had a 100 mile daily commute, I'd definately have considered something more economical. Just make sure you make your decision on which car based on the right reasons. You've already made a pro/con list. Now decide which factors are most important to you and make an informed decision you won't regret. Best of luck!

Very good point, but still like I stated if I got the greddy Tk then I would be right witht the tC power wise or even the blitz Sc and still be at the same price of a tC. Its just a hard desicion cause im going to have this car for five years and I dont want to make a wrong choice.

How long do you think you will keep the car? Do you have kids now, or think you might have kids before you get another car? When I get my xA im going to keep it tell around 200,000 miles. So not knowing what the future holds I want a car that has doors to get to the back seat for a few reasons: 1) If I have kids its much easier then pushing passenger set foward & bending into mind bogling ways to get them in the back. 2) I end up having friends go with me to places at times & be much easier for them to just have there own door to get in & out. Thats just the way I look at it.

You want a car for getting from point A to point B - get xA, but if you want to have a little fun in style - get tC... Easy. Ugly or not - it's personal taste - I like 160hp on regular gas with factory warranty and no additional investments - aftermarket turbo or SC is always a risk, especially on xA with no TRD blower coming any time soon...

Personally, I think sport coupes are fairly impractical. They also sit you so low. I think the xA would be an all-around more useful vehicle. As far as style, I think the xA and xB have a standout kind of style, the tC has style, but not enough to really set it apart from the other vehicles in its class, IMO. No offense guys.

I don't think the power to weight ratio is that extreme between the two, especially if you pump up the xA. And in my experience, more HP isn't really going to help much because we're still going to be stuck behind the morons doing 53MPH in the fast lane on the phone sipping their latte...

Hey girls must like them cause most girls I knw like it but prefer the tC. It all depends how u look at it man. Some people think the tC is ugly cause its short and wide, and others think the xB is ugly cause its a box on wheels. SO before you open your mouth think before you speak.

The xA and xB are great city cars, being more gas sipping than the tC. They also have a more distinct, metro styling. I would've bought a xB if I didn't need power for my commute, which is mostly freeway/highway. I know that once up to speed, the xA and xB are fine, but getting there from an uphill onramp can be quite a problem. Different cars for different situations.

I was doing the same thing when I was shopping for a new car. i love both of them, if i have enough money, i will get both.

now i owned a tC for almost 2 months, I'd say xA actually fit my need more than tC. if I have choice again, I would get xA. xA is more partical. not like there is anything wrong with tC, I love it, I am happy about the purchase. what make me buy the tC is the feel. tC just feel like a much higher class of car then xA.

depend on what your need and how much you willing to spend. if money is tight, go for xA. if you don't car about money as long as it's under 20k, tC is for you. tC is much like a girlfriend that I feel I sould not/not worth to own her. just may be I am not confident on myself or my job is not stable enough for me to think about the bright side.

so, if you have stable income and don't have hugh student loan on your back, get the tC, it's for you.
