Default Yay! I grinded 3rd gear...

It was pretty stupid, did a couple quick shifts, was going from 2nd to 3rd when I got distracted. Made a hard shift, except I forgot to disenage the clutch fully and got a lovely *GRIND*, dropped the clutch and tried again. Still shifts nice and smooth, so... hopefully all is well.

I actually did the exact same thing the other day. I don't even know how, but I went to shift to 3rd and I guess I forgot to put the clutch in. It only grinded for like a nanosecond so I guess everything is fine, but I got very freaked!

grinding a gear like that wont hurt it (Unless you do it alot). It happens alot when driving a stick.

Yea don't worry about it. I grinded in second twice in one day in my Accord, I thought it was a problem with the car but its probably just me. I havn't done it since.

They won't build it so fragile as to have it destroyed by one or two grinds. Your fine. Just don't repeat the mistake often.

Thanks for that. I did that in my tC, a shift a little too quick from 1 to 2, and wham....a split second grind (She was feeling frisky that night). WONT be doing that again ever, but was worried about it.
Thanks!
