Default your clutch.....

I've been driving stick for years, but i've never experienced such a heavy clutch. Im thinking its new, so I need to break it in. Just keep using it till it softens up. Kinda like breaking in new shoes. Anyone else feel this way.

I also notice the clutch is so close to the brake! Damn! Thats about the only other thing I dont care for on the tC

i feel the complete opposite. i think the tc's clutch is really soft compared to other cars that i've driven.

Me too. It's like butter just goes down with ease. It hasn't changed since i bought the car 5 months ago. I have 3,000 miles on it, but hasn't changed since i first bought it. The only thing the changed was me. I had to get used to it. Only stalled 2 times when i first bought it....and haven't since.

If you want to talk about a heavy clutch, try a 350z. Our cars just weren't meant to hold that kind of power, so the clutch isn't as hard to engage. On the flip side, that means the clutch is easy to press and to modulate, which makes for smoother everyday driving.

The tC has the lightest clutch of any car I've ever driven. What cars are you comparing it to, trench?

I agree with everyone else.....Very light clutch. As for the pedals. They are close but I have no problem with them at all. Im a size 9-10 shoe but i could see someone with bigger feet having trouble.

I was driving around today again. I owned a truck with a cable clutch! OLD SCHOOL. dont know how many of you young bucks have driven one. thats a really heavy clutch. My tC clutch seemed almost as heavy as that to when I first bought it.

But this is my 3rd day driving it, and it seems to be alot smoother. So, I guess its just a matter of breaking it in.

Clutch feels light to me. Altho I learned on a 72 Chevy pickup truck (Three on the tree). THAT was a heavy clutch. This clutch is light. What took me a while to get used to was how fast the thing grabbed. Not much tolerance for error on that one!

The clutch seemed like any other Toyota clutch...I have a '94 Corolla and had no problem w/ the tC...my father has a Honda CRV and I hate the clutch in it! It's so touchy/feely...

Also about the pedals, I wear size 14 and had issues bumping anything other then what I was trying to push...

Yeah I'd have to agree with most others. After driving an SHO and Mustangs for most of my experience the clutch on the tC is extremely light, probably the lightest Ive ever experienced. I hope that doesn't mean its weak.
