clayton1, yes a few of us have gutted out our cars (i've even run with seats for the morning and then without seats in the afternoon for an event with CDC, which doesn't class cars). i'm a cruddy driver so it made a minimal difference BUT i can warn you with scca it'll put you right into street modified. If you're pretty much stock and have to run in sm it can hurt the ego.

Im probably going to try going out this month. I took my carbon Fiber hood off cause I knew that would put me in a different class. But will my carbon fiber lip put me in the same situation?
Yea, but its not really worth my time to take it off for the few pounds it would save. Also does anyone know which class would I be in with a Stage 1 turbo, axle back exhaust, springs and Strut Bar? It looks like I'd be in street modified anyway in which case I might as well put the hood back on correct?
Your allowed to strip the Interior for SM? Wouldn't that make it Prepared?
I appreciate your help. I stopped by the race last month but didn't have time to stick around and learn as much as I would've liked.
I'm not really hoping to win anyway so I'm not worried about being in a class that I can't really compete with, just getting out there and having some fun.

I feel that though it'd be great to hang onto your class to be competitive, you should do what YOU want to do to your car and let the chips fall where they may. Unless you're one of the few folks out there that earns a living by being the best in their class.
Forget about the classes. Go have fun!
And I'm in no way trying to offend those that do adhere to their class restrictions because if that's what they want to do to their car, then kudos! It's just my opinion on the matter.

Today I saw the guy in charge of the videos for the autox's I've been, and I told him to give me some raw footage for the past autox... I just finished editing a little, here it is.

He was on a driver training course I think. The link I posted above is a similar setup. It is a course used to train police and truck drivers, so there are multiple patshs around it. For autox, they pick a track around it and then fill that with slaloms, offsets, etc to give it the autox feel.
