Default *POLL* brake setup, what should i do...

ok guys, theres a local guy selling a rotora bbk for a great deal on here, and ive been looking to do my brakes here soon cause im going to start doing some road racing soon. heres my options...

1. rotora front bbk (1 piece i believe) that comes with ss lines up front, rotora ss lines for the rear, and some new rear pads and just use my stock rear rotors... probably around $600 - $650?

2. or the stoptech stage 2 kit with slotted f&r rotors, pads and ss lines for $600 - $650?

dude honestly I think a BBK is overkill for a tC unless you've got rediculous whp, like 350+. Looking at your mods to your car it doesn't look like your there. I would definitely go with the StopTech Stage II kit. That way your getting all new parts all around, except for your calipers. Plus your getting synthetic brake fluid, I dont know if that BBK comes with that. But the stage 2 stoptech kit should be sufficient.

Well im still workin on getting the car tuned, im being told ill be around 270 whp when its done, and brake fluid is only a few bucks so thats no big deal...

I am in the same boat but I think I am just going to send my calipers off to get powdercoated and just do the stop tech stage two that way I can run a nice set of slicks on some 15's

even at 270 whp I still dont think you really need the bbk, but I guess for the money your spending it isn't much of a difference. I know for sure though that the Stoptech Stage II kit is only $543.85 on this site: http://www.nurspec.com/ListProducts....ry=Stage-2-kit
It's up to you but I would go StopTech for sure, I have StopTech D&S Rotors F&R, with the stock pads and they are pretty nice.

New pads would be more than enough for any street driving. Put the money into good tires. Of course if you're talking about serious regular track or show duty, a bbk may be the way to go.

I would get the bbk, yeah unless you are doing some hard auto x'ing you don't need them but they are still cool to have. They fill up your wheels very nice and look great. I know if I was in Cali I would not hesitate in buying them :p

Be sure they're iwthin whatever class you're autoxing in. Nothing like getting bumped to one of the modified classes because of one minor mod.

shoulda jumped on the BBK sooner, you thought too much, either that or you listened to anyone who said you dont need it too long and missed out on it.

seriously i dont understand how someone can come to the conclusion that YOU dont NEED something.

as far as modding a car goes you dont NEED any of it, you want it, if you WANT to get the BBK so be it.

for example....

jamarr911 why did you get the aem cai? you dont need it? it doesnt show any improvements in power it just provides more noise under the hood.

see you dont NEED it or sht... why did i get coil overs for my tC or volk wheels, or a bbk or racing seats? cus i wanted it.... i didnt need any of it lol.

do what you want man dont listen to anyone here cus they said you dont NEED it thats foolish
