Aren't they silver? Has anyone ever heard of Hotchkis springs being red? If not I have a feeling somebody installed the wrong springs.

Well mine are silver... but I got them almost 2 yrs ago. They may have changed. I know TRD springs are offered in red now... but it's possible Hotchkis are red now too, to match the swaybars.

Because I posted on Saturday night and it's Sunday _______? But great thinking nonetheless, thanks for the useless post.

Anyway, yes that's what I thought, I searched and checked out their website and didn't see any notion that they offered springs in red. And I had these installed by a certain reputable organization on here, after saying I wanted Hotchkis springs about 20 times. Boy they're gonna get a fun earful tomorrow... I'll post pics later of the drop/springs on my "Hotchkis drop" /sigh.

Oh, that happened as soon as the internet was created and there was someone else to ask instead of actually researching.

Now that I see it through a camera lens, it looks more like a TRD drop to me, and seeing as the springs are obviously red I have to say it is. Anyway here's my "Hotchkis" drop...

and a lovely 3 in the front

This was not an eBay purchase or some crap, this was a well known seller and servicer of Scions. I won't mention names until I speak to them tomorrow... so we'll see.

There are a bunch of pics in my profile of a Hotchkis drop... and ya, it kind of does look like you have TRD there. They aren't terrible, but nothing compared to Hotchkis.

thats trd, hotckiss has a bunch of dead coils at the bottom if it, take it back to the shop you braught your car too, have them order the right springs and uninstall those and put the right ones in, and get your money back for labor.

that is EXACTLY how my TRD drop looked. Except mine were white. My hotchkis are silver. So, you went to this place and send "give me hothckis and install them" but did not see the springs before hand right? Was it at a dealership? Does it say Hothckis on yoru receipt?

Im so excited about getting my springs. I ordered them about a week ago from suprastore.com and they are currently en route. Ganna be a big install day for me, Will have the springs, spipe, tanabe concept g and headers.. hopefully the garage doesn't charge me a million dollars for the install since I dont have the tools or knowledge to do it all myself.

[Update]: I went back yesterday, they had a tech on it as soon as I pulled up (the same guy who put the TRD's on no less, though not his fault b/c he was given the wrong parts) and they swapped out the TRD's for Hotchkis and performed another alignment in a few hours. Got a full tank of gas and $40 back for the trouble, so all in all I'm happy with them, they instantly realized they had made a mistake and fixed it asap. I'll post new pics later, it definitely looks better w/ Hotchkis, I'm lovin it.

Sweet!
Yeah, they gave you money back because they charge $40 more for the TRDs then the Hotchkis, so they actually LOST money giving you the TRDs!!!

You'll love the Hothckis, but your gonna need another allignment in 2-3 weeks.
