Question 2009 tC Front suspension/ smoother ride

Hello all, I'm considering upgrading my suspension to improve ride quality. I did read through the existing Suspension page but most of that seems to be about performance and lowering.

I'm less concerned with performance and more concerned with the car's ability to gracefully respond to bumps in the road. Right now, I feel every bump in the road and the car bottoms out very easily. Am I wanting to go more stiff? I installed some metal Coil Spacers to lift about 1.5 inches which definitely helped. I'm not opposed to getting taller struts and abandoning the low rider look.

There's a small amount of play in the front when applying downward pressure by hand to test stiffness but overall still feels relatively solid. Also, I do have relatively thin tires which I realize is part of the problem. Unfortunately I just replaced the tires too so that's not an option at this time.

Would Coilovers be the best way to be able to lift a bit and customize the spring compression? Or would replacing the springs on stock struts offer a smoother ride?

Big thanks for any insight!
