I feel the fronts on the Tiens are fairly decent as they are but a bit stiffer could be better or even a step softer, it depends on the use of the vehicle and your local roads, tracks, etc.

The rears are very stiff, way to much so, I was looking in the 7-8 range as a way to go.

I may be switching from Tein to the Race B&Gs very soon;)

oo that would be nice. true 2 product comparsion

but i dont think that is apples to apples

the TEIN's are rebound adjustable while the B+G's are bound/rebound adjustable...

kinda different

Ok...was not sure of the rates on the tC. I was thinking in comparison to the Cavalier which was 375 front and 250 rear and that was stiff at times. Totally different geometry though so understood. So you think the 8k and 6k will ride smoothly and not be to stiff?

We are working with Mike at B&G to offer an intro/Group Buy on these as soon as it is appropriate to do so.

I gave up my moderator status so we can start selling our RAAMmat products as well as working with other manfa to bring all Scion owners some great deals on quality products

I for one am very excited to get a set of these coilovers on our car as we need every edge we can get to become competitive in our insanely fast autocross class.

Hi everyone, just talk to Mike at B+G, nice guy. It looks like the coilovers will be available sometime next month (we hope). They are full adjustable and springs can be change for different applications. As far as the price goes he did not have an exact price but will have an introduction price for the people in the forum, looking forward to that!!

the price is final

its 1300 off of b-gsuspension.com

and of course springs can be changed for different applications. its the same with all suspension companies that design coiloves. you can order custom spring rates.

but companies design coilovers for teh springs to match the strength of the shocks.

so i wanted to know the... "stock" spring of these coilovers haha

B&G is expecting the final test units in a couple of weeks then if all goes well, as it is expected to do so, the final versions will go right into production and the GB will begin!!!
The time frame is before the end of the year, let's keep our fingers crossed for some nice Christmas presents

8kg front
6kg rear...

would this cause a lot of understeer? i mean, with the rear suspension pointing the car in the direction it wants to go... a softer rear and stiffer front... wouldnt that cancel out what the car is trying to do?

i dont understand cars with stiffer front spring rates.... help?

Stiffer front spring rates for one, is attributed to the extra weight up front due to the engine. The light rear end with a stiff spring rate would not ride very well.

Exactly.. the stiffer spring makes up for the weight of the motor.. for the Neon Srt-4 for example the thing is soo light in the rear we are going with a 8kg front and 4kg rear..
