Default Any Problems with H-Techs?

Just ordered myself a set of Tein H-techs and I was just wondering if anyone has run into ANY issues at all with them? Either before or after the install

The reason why is because when I first installed Tein S-Techs on my wife's Protege5 over a year ago, a "Clunk" developed on the Rear passenger side strut assembly.

Nothing serious, the threading for the bolt at the top of the strut was just too short to accomodate the shorter springs so the strut had a little bit of play. Nothing a couple of washers couldn't fix. All in all though, very satisfied with TEIN springs.

I just wanted to know if anyone experienced something like this after dropping their tC with TEINs so that I know what to expect.

Thanks guys.

Here's an incredibly unimportant question that has been bothering me: Why are S-Techs cheaper than H Techs?

Where did you get your H-Tech's ?

I've been trying to get em for the past few days.. but no luck.

Tried ordering em at illusivemotorsports, but they're backordered. Got a refund, then tried ProStreetOnline, and they're backordered as well. '

How much did you pay for them as well, if you don't mind.

S tech are made of lower quality material and do not have as much of a factory warranty as the H techs, which is a big warning sign.

S tech have a low drop, but the front slopes forward a lot like an american musclecar. H techs done have a mild drop and are more for comfort

Not to sound like a jerk, but shouldnt you have asked this BEFORE you bought the springs?

I originally ordered my H-Techs from Illusive, but was informed by Keith immediately that the H-Techs are on Backorder from Tein for 1-2weeks

Keith is a really great vendor to do business with. He kept me up to date at every opportunity and was very straightforward about the situation with the springs being on backorder.

Once he told me that, he then gave me the option to wait for them, apply the price to a different set of springs or get a refund.

Unfortunately, I have had my heart set on H-Techs, so I opted for a refund. It was the most painless transaction ever.

Even though I didn't get to buy anything from them this time, customer service like that will make me refer illusive motosports to anyone looking to buy parts for their tC.

I ended up getting them from a vendor on eBay because they still had them in stock and could ship immediately =/
total came out to 157USD

Actually, I asked the Original question to find out if I should expect anything new from the H-techs that I didn't run into with the S-techs

It was not a question about whether or not I should buy them because I would have bought them regardless of anyone's opinions due to the great results I have gotten from Tein springs in the past.

Hope that eases your mind

NP Keith. I sent you an email btw. I WILL be Buying the Htechs from you.

beware, people. DO NOT Buy anything from eBay Seller "QualifiedJapaneseParts"

They're a bunch of deadbeats that will tell you that they have things in stock when they don't and try to delay refunding so that you can't file a complaint with eBay or Paypal.
