you're pressing on the brake coming up to a stop and you hit one little bump and it feels like abs kicked in and stays in till you left off? (Did I word that right haha)

Anyone else experience this?

 

That happens to me sometimes. Doesn't bother me too much.

 

yep yep, i hate it!

 

mine does that all the time... like its popping.. hit the brakes hit a lil bump and POP POP POP!... it bugs me so much like its gonna brake off or something.

 

yeah the point of abs is to keep you in control but it almost feels like you could lose control instead, it works great for ice but otherwise its just a pain in the a

 

That happens to me when I brake going over train tracks. It feels like entire car is going to take a dump on me.

It is absolutely terrible in the snow!! one tap on the brake and forget it cruunncchhh

 

Its doing its job. Your tires are not.. that is why the ABS in engaging (the tires are losing traction). As far as ABS goes, it works pretty well on the tC. I tested mine at a full, standing on the pedal stop from 45 mph on packed snow once.. worked like a charm with no loss of control.

With that being said though... I was relating it to ABS in general, which I dont like. I dont despise it quite like I do traction control/skid control (which I am wiring a switch in to disable on my 4Runner), but I dont like it. I grew up on cars without all that crap, and am a much better driver for it. I dont need the car telling me how to drive.
