I bought a used DC sports strut bar from someone on here and when I received it today one of the end plates is bent where you bolt it down to the car. Either I got ripped off or the guys at UPS are douche cakes but yea...is it possible to hammer it back into place with like a rubber mallet or something?

I will file a claim with UPS, but you will have to bare with me as this is the first claim I have ever made.

 

Please hang onto the box and the bar for me.

 

i would heat it up with a hair dryer/heat gun and hammer it back into place

 

Yeah I'm doing that. I dont know if UPS is going to help because of the way it was packaged. I was thinking about hammering it out over at a friends place today but I should just wait till tomorrow yes?

It was packaged the same way TRD sent me my strut bar, so I don't see how the packaging could have done it. but either way, let me know what's up.

 

Yeah I was thinking it had to be UPS cause I received shocks and sway bars with just plastic wrapping over it and it was fine. Lol funny thing is im hoping to get a temp job there too. Ill see if I can hammer it out and ill let you know if I succeeded or not.

those strut bars are a PITA to ship im not surprised it bent... one bad drop from a UPS truck on a small tip and thats what you get. glad it worked out for you though!

 

yeah just use a dead blow hammer it has a poly outer coating so it wont hurt it but u should be able to bend it back with out breaking it just take your time and dont thor wack it
