Best Suspension Possible
custom coilover setup with custom spring rates and a ____ load of adjustability, items to give you a great range of adjustability for toe, camber, caster, etc etc, multiple chassis braces, large sway bars, etc etc
New naild it on the head! MONEY! And, a butt load of time and pure commitment.
We may now have the best handling tC ever yet it is far from done.
In order of inprovement, at least mostly.
1) tires, our Hankook 212's are up there with the best in street tires and since we hit alot of rain, may be the best for our needs. Full race tires are an option for special days, those are on the way;)
2) I could say rear sway bar, alignment and misc other things but what is more overlook is suspension geometry and many of the lowered tC's are to low! This upsets the roll center and many other important vairables that dramatically effects the handling, in bad ways. Please understand, I love lowered cars, dropped my first car before most everyone here was even a microscopic swimmer. (1972 510 Datsun in 1973;)
For a good overall and reasonable cost, this is what I recommend.
1) wide sticky tires on appropriate lite wheels.
2) rear sway bar
3) carry only what you have to at all times
4) a good alignment, if some parts have to be added, then do it, -1.5 degrees minimum front camber. 0 degress rear camber, for those that like a darty car with quick reflexes and pay attention, a bit of front toe out, rear toe to 0.
5) Modest drop, 1.5" MAX!!! Any lower and the whole geometry gets whacked and you will be far worse off, low does not mean go in this regard.
6) Beyond this, now you start talking real money, real time, real commitment, it you want to go there, let me know, I am still working our a few things and it will be months before full fruition is accomplished and alot of labor and money involved, alot of both already done!
