Default brake pad info

After much searching, I have yet to find results for information on the brake pads I am thinking about getting. Has anyone had any experience with the EBC Ultimax? My car is getting Eibach Springs and I'm powdercoating the wheels and putting on new tires next week, so I wanted to do pads at the same time since they are wearing low. I don't have a lot of money, so if the Ultimax are bad I'll probably end up getting the Stoptech Axxis but I wanted to get feedback first. I don't do any kind of hard driving, but I'm finding the stock pads are giving my brake pedal a really spongy feel. Any information is helpful.

"spongy"is not due to pads
spongy is caused by brakes hoses expanding under pressure. Get some stainless steel lines, preferably Agency Power.

^^ That is correct. Stainless lines will get rid of a lot of the spongy feeling. They wont improve stopping power, but will give you a better pedal feel.

I am running Axxis Deluxe Plus on mine and really like them. They do a great job and dont create tons of dust. Make sure to bed them properly to get the most out of them. The brakes on the tC are pretty good to begin with (contrary to what some may say) for a stock non-sports car. Pedal feel is different than some cars, but that is always different from car to car. So with some good pads and good tires they do well. Note I said good tires The most important part of your braking system.

For reference, I run Avon TECH M550's and the axxis pads front and rear. Very nice combination. If you fronts just got to the replacing point, you will most likely just need fronts. I swapped all 4 just to have the same thing all the way around, but you will notice most of the difference on the front pads.

I'll be doing all 4 brakes as well for the same reason, and the tires going on are much better so I do understand the importance there. Thanks everyone for the advice.
