Brake Rotor Question
I'm in need of new brakes, so I figure I might as well upgrade the rotors and pads while I'm at it.
I already have the pads I'm going to buy picked out, but am unsure of the rotors. I was looking at the Stoptech Premium Blanks, but am unsure of whether to go with them or fork over the extra money and get them PowerSlot rotors.
I don't track my car (may do some casual track days in the future).
So I was wondering if anyony had the stoptech blanks and what there thoughts were on them. Also, I was wondering if you guys thinks it worth the money to get the slotted rotors. I feel like I don't really need the slotted, but for some reason I feel like I should get them (maybe cause most tuners get them). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Slotted rotors are completely useless for street use. The only thing they're better for, is heat dissipation. Your brakes will NEVER heat up to the point where you'll experience brake fade from just driving around on the streets, unless you don't know how to drive.
As for the pads, I've never heard of anyone with them, but I know a lot of people love their Hawk pads.

I kinda figured they might be overkill, as I only really drive 'spirited' occasionaly. I would like to do some small road course track days next spring. Would you think these would be adequate for this as well? I just don't want to under buy and have to upgrade again in the near future.
I think I'm going to try the stoptech pads.

It's not really overkill, it's just nothing extra. It's like buying a bluetooth headset for a phone that doesn't have bluetooth. If you're planning on doing small road courses, or even AutoX, then yes, they would be beneficial.
