brakes shuddering?
i have really been ignoring this problem but im gonna take a roadtrip soon and i dont want this to be a problem. i installed some new brake rotors and when i travel at high speeds and brake, the brakes shudder. i dont know if its abs kickin in cuz of some problem with the rotors not fitting... or could be just defective rotors (I dont think so). maybe rotors are on backwards. ive seen d/s rotors put on different ways, i put mine on according to directions that came with them.
I experienced this problem going about 80 on the freeway. im not slamming on the brakes, just light enough to slow the car down.
also the problem is sporadic, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a bit of pad deposition that might be solved by doing a thorough bed in procedure. It would help to know if you are using stock pads or have switched out to something else.
For info on what the vibrations are likely caused by, check out this link: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml
Our recommended bed in procedure can be seen here: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedinstock.shtml

oh... i didnt realize there was a bed-in process needed for just rotor replacement. im using stock brake pads used 3k miles. i hope its not too late for a bed in procedure for the rotors a couple hundred miles after i installed them.
