Default Coating the springs.

yooooo. Just bought myself a new set up of a fellow SLer. Gonna be pickin it up at the end of the month. I just got one question. I'm going from Hotchkis springs to Tanabe DF210s. Now having the Hotchkis, of course I have a bit of rust goin on. I wanna avoid all rust on the Tanabes. I was thinkin about getting paint and recoating them before throwing the whole set up on my car (Tokico Blues w/ Tanabes). My question is what kinda paint would I use. I can't just use regular paint can I? I don't want it to crack and flake off when the springs compress and uncompress.

The rust will develop more if there are any scratches through the original powdercoat. If the original powdercoat is intact, you should be ok.

There is a shop around us that would do that job for 65, I have no idea how that compares to places in your area, but I can assume that it will be in that ball park range.
