Default Coilover experts please help.

I need assistance from you coilover owners out there. doesnt matter what brand becuase you got coilovers.
I have had my Megan Racing coilovers about 4 months now...and in the beginning i took it to my friends shop and they installed it...with changing any settings...the ride wasnt nice...so my friend adjusted the height and dampining level for me..its rode good for awhile then ....the past 2 months..i tried adjusting the height and played around with the dampining levels....it rode well for a couple of weeks....the a month and a half ago....it starts to pop and bottoms out non-stop..on the rears!!! did the coilovers break? if not how can this "bottoming out" issue be resolve?
i hope you guys can help! thanks

Seems like you're having the problem everyone else was having. I think you're springs are too soft in the rear. Do you have the 5k or 6k springs?

Set the rear dampers to the softest and set the fronts to medium soft. You don't need to be running your coilovers stiff unless if you're using the car for track.

I found what is causing your problems:

Just kidding...sort of.

Seriously, it sounds like you are running too stiff and too low. With adjusting the height you also need to watch your alignment.

If you push down on the rear then let go, does it bounce? If you try and bounce the rear, do you hear the popping noises? Are you able to grab the strut/spring and shake it?

when i push down on the rear, it sqeaks.

also i thought the rear needs to be stiffer than the front knowing that the car is FWD????

OK. The rear springs should be a higher spring rate, that does not always require that the damper be at the stiffest setting. The dampers are (hopefully) valved to provide adequate dampening though out the entire adjustment range, so even at their softest setting they will be functioning correctly. But, I don't think that is the root of the problem.

A squeaking noise from a car with stiff springs is not a big deal nor is it a sign of any particular problem. I wanted to find out about the clunking to determine where exactly the noise was coming from. If the clunk occurred by bouncing the car most likely it would be from a strut bearing. Same if you could shake the unit.

If you stand bedside a rear wheel (like you were going to change the tire) and and push and pull at it, does it move, or make any noise? If so your issue is possibly a wheel bearing. IF this is the problem, get it fixed NOW. If that isn't it I would contact Megan and speak to a tech and tell them what you are experiencing.
