Default coilover kit and ride comfort?

hey guys I just wa nt to know how the ride will feel with a new set of a coilover kit by megan, k-sport, or TRD and lowered about 1.5 in? Maybe they all feel different but will the over feel of the car be rough and stiff? rough and bouncy? Will I feel every crack and buml in the road? I love the tC but it deff needs an upgraded suspension.

I used to have an audi tt and the suspension was awesome, but i felt every bump i the road.

Justlooking for some advice on which coilover setup to go with for the best handling/ ride comfort.

Thanks!

most coilovers including the megan have a 16 or 32 damper setting from hard to soft so u can adjust. i have TEIN basics and it's not adjustable but i love it. It's not the stiffest but i do feel a lot of bumps on the road.

I have the Tein SSPs adjusted pretty stiff and I love em. I drive the car daily. Good quality, correctly adjusted coilovers will not ride harsh or bouncy, they are designed to control just that.

It sounds like you are more into comfort than handling correct? If that is true and you just want to drop about 1.5 inches then might as well get some TRDs since they are the most comfortable springs next to the stock springs.

Will you be adjusting your height everyday?? If not why spend that much on coilovers and just buy springs then when you get enough money spend it on some nice shocks.

Well if you insist on getting coilovers then you can go with Progress or H&R because I have heard they are really comfortable and great performance but you can't adjust the damper. Tein makes great coilovers but they have the stiffest spring rate on the market and that will cause you to feel almost every bumps in the road. I had the Tein Basics and they were nice but I felt every bump in the road. Megan and K-Sport, I really don't have any ideas but a fellow in my club had K-Sport and he said his back was aching after a 2 hour drive up the mountain.

^like he said^, unless adjusting height and dampening or corner balancing and all that stuff is going to be a routine for you, i wouldn't dump money into coilovers, especially if you only want a 1.5" drop.

im on some tein ss-p lowered evenly all teh way around to the lowest possible height. its like a zero finger gap all the way around. the coilovers are set at a medium stiffness and the ride is somewhat harsh. i have had it at the softest setting but then when i have ppl in the car it starts to get worse so thats y i have it in the middle.

yea that sounds like a better idea. I just got a set of 18" Migilia wheels and i want the tc to sit a little lower. about 1.25inches.

I will invest into some shocks probably next month. How do aftermarket shocks feel?
